A four-year-old stray poodle dubbed Mrs. Bigglesworth suffered from a serious encounter with an automobile. She arrived at the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter on June 26 as a stray with a broken leg and an injury resulting in the loss of her eye. Her family has never been to the shelter to find her. A volunteer offered this information:

“She’s just a sparkly combo of glitter, coconut macaroons with a dusting of Cupid’s Potion of Love. She had an encounter with a jagundo metal box, called an automobile and came away a SURVIVOR with a story to tell…”

On Thursday, Mrs. Bigglesworth was transferred to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control – Lancaster. Her Pet Harbor listing can be seen here.

“I am described as a female, white Poodle – Miniature. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 13, 2017.” For more information about this animal, call Los Angeles County Animal Control – Lancaster at (661) 940-4191. Ask for information about animal ID number A5083162.

Animal advocate and shelter volunteer Karen Klink states Mrs. Bigglesworth is good with other dogs and people. Karen has spearheaded a campaign to save this pooch; the  At-Choo Foundation has volunteered to help with her medical expenses.  The rescue organization 4 Dogs Farm Rescue  has stepped forward to care for her, but are asking for help in finding a foster home located in Southern California. A Facebook page can be followed here.

Check out her video and share her plight with friends, family and social media contacts in an effort to find a qualified foster situation for this dog. Sharing saves lives. Be the voice for those who cannot speak.

  1. What a baby and such a survivor. Would love to adopt her but am in NY so that wouldn’t work but pray she finds a savior to take away all the pain and memory of what happened to her.

  2. Poor little girl. I hope someone will step up to help her and give her a foster home. Poodles are so smart and I’m sure she understands what is happening to her.

  3. This beautiful baby needs put into a foster home asap! Poor beautiful baby! Praying he is out of that shelter quickly! GET WELL SOON MR.BIGGLESWORTH…….interesting name!

  4. It breaks my heart to see this poor baby like this. Where are her owners, the ones that should be loving and taking care of her? Mrs. Bigglesworth is lucky some angels are stepping up to take care of her, I hope and pray they find a foster for her soon.

  5. I love poodles. I lost mine on New Years Days, however, you have to live around the area to adopt. Positive thoughts for Mrs Bigglesworth for her recovery and a finding a loving home.
