According to Brown, the Labrador retriever and a German shepherd then returned on Tuesday looking for food again. She took both dogs to the Palmdale Animal Control. Officers located the ten acre property where the dogs had been living and disclosed an unknown number of  caged dogs that were undernourished and living in horrible conditions. At least four dogs were found dead on the property.

The surviving dogs are being treated at a nearby veterinarian. No information has been released if the owner of the dogs have been found.

This is a developing story; more news as it is released.

  2. when and if found these people will probably only get their hands slapped, put on probation or just move away just as Paul Smith did years ago by moving from llano to Nevada and all his problems with animal control just vanished! Even though there was a warrant issued for him when he was finally picked up on it years later one of our wonderful antelope valley court judges just kicked him out, free as a bird the next morning.

    • Hello. I live in Llano, CA and I know about the “Genius Sperm Idiot – Paul Smith! I believe this seizure happened on the same property! He had a squatter (previous renter) with like thirty seven dogs. I live a few blocks from there. Currently there is about five squatters living there with dogs that all seem to be well cared for.

      • The reason I bring this up now is that somewhere in Llano, CA it has happened again. Four days ago a property was raided by animal control again. They removed a large number of cats and dogs. Sadly they removed many deceased animals too. Article below:

ANIMAL SEIZURE AT 501C3 ANIMAL FACILITY IN LLANO, CA

On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control (DACC) served a search warrant at an animal rescue facility in Llano, CA resulting to the confiscation of 195 cats and 43 dogs, including six dead animals. The warrant was issued due to the animal rescue organization’s non-compliance with State and County animal care laws, exceeding animal limitation requirements, and failure to provide proper medical care for animals.

DACC’s Major Case Unit (MCU) partnered with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD) Community Partnership Bureau and the District Attorney’s (DA) Office for this investigation. DACC had a team of 25 responders, including animal cruelty investigators and a forensics veterinarian. Findings in the facility included animals in inhumane living conditions and evidence of the practice of medical care without a veterinary license.
All animals seized were distributed among DACC’s seven animal care centers, where they are undergoing evaluation and treatment while the investigative reports are prepared for the DA. These animals will not be made available at this time.

“Providing safe and humane care to animals is required by local and State law,” said Marcia Mayeda, Director. “Our department stands committed to protecting animals and ensuring they receive the care they need.”

Animal rescue organizations are responsible for providing the basic needs for housing, nutrition, and health of all animals in their care. The quality of life of the animals must be a priority. Los Angeles County residents are asked to report suspected cases of animal neglect by calling DACC at (310) 523-9566.
