In Boulder, Colorado, authorities have charged a transient with allegedly feeding an 11-week-old German shepherd mix alcohol getting her drunk. According to the Daily Camera, Scott O’Neal, 45, got the puppy intoxicated before giving  her to someone who rushed the puppy to a veterinary hospital.

Police received information from a technician at the clinic on Friday, when the puppy named Stella Luna, was brought in with alcohol poisoning. It is suspected O’Neal gave the pup  beer, whiskey and mouthwash.  Authorities are planning to have a veterinarian run blood tests to determine what the puppy actually ingested.

Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh stated it is not known where the incident took place. Meanwhile, O’Neal was charged with animal cruelty, and has ten days to request a hearing to determine if he can reclaim his puppy. Stella Luna is currently being cared for at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley.

“Request a hearing to see if he can get the puppy back?” BS! please keep this POS away from this poor puppy. Who knows what else the fool will do to it. He should NEVER be allowed to own a pet for the rest of his miserable life!

If he needs a drinking buddy there are plenty of idiots in the bars that would love to booze it up if he’s buying. Please don’t give him that dog back!

  5. Nancy Raymond says:

ANY authority who would give Stella Luna back to this asshole is as guilty of animal cruelty as that maggot named Scott O’Neal – that should not even be an option. This little dog suffered horribly because of his cruel actions and should NEVER have to be anywhere near him again.

RECLAIM HIS PUPPY? Are you friggin out of your damn minds. What kind of bullshit laws are those? That’s like turning a rape victim over to her rapist. No wonder animal cruelty can’t get under control; part of the problem is the assholes in legislation. NEED MORE LAWS TO PROTECT THEM for god’s sake!

  8. Christine Goodstein says:

To those involved in making the decision regarding returning this beautiful baby to his previous owner…PLEASE DON’T!!!!!! The fool abused and mistreated this innocent puppy and showed that he has no business whatsoever having an animal in his care. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do the right thing and make sure this angel goes to a home deserving of an animal!

  9. dee says:

Send him to jail and don’t feed him. If he’s homeless, he doesn’t need and can’t afford the dog. Somebody go get the dog and rescue it!

Our old piece of trash neighbor used to give her dog beer. My mom got the dog from her and kept her the rest of her life. R.I.P Tara.
