A frail little hamster was used to stub out burning cigarettes in a sickening act of animal cruelty in Oxfordshire, England last week revealed the RSPCA on Tuesday afternoon. The animal welfare organization released the heartbreaking photo of the tiny little pet after veterinarians tried in vain to save its life.

According to the Express, an investigation is underway as the disturbing discovery of the animal’s suffering and torture came to the attention of authorities. Veterinarians reported that not only were the legs of the black and white hamster badly burned, but it had also recently eaten stones and a chicken bone after someone mercilessly threw the defenseless animal out on the street to suffer a slow and painful death.

A Good Samaritan found the animal and  tried to save it.

“The hamster was in a very bad way with cigarette burns on both back legs, a chicken bone wedged in one cheek pouch and earth and stones wedged in the other,” stated Inspector Andy Eddy, the RSPCA cruelty officer. “Sadly the hamster died because of the severity of his injuries, but we are very grateful to the member of the public who tried to save him by rushing him to a vet and thank them for their help and support.”

The humane organization is asking for the public’s help identifying the culprit who apparently tortured this tiny little animal. He was found on Holford Road, Witney, Osfordshire, last week. Hamsters make delightful little pets and can live for two years. Anyone with information about this animal, is asked to contact the RSPCA at 0300 123 8018.

Rest in peace little one. We are sorry you had to suffer so much; here’s hoping you find justice.

  1. How hard can it be to apprehend and charge the sadistic depraved monster who did this? Who is law enforcement in this tiny village? Larry, Moe & Curley?

  2. Must be a relitave of “Jack the Ripper” What a Demented Sick SOB !!! they need to be found with cement shoes in the Brine!!!

  3. I don’t care how big or small the animal is .. this is just fucking WRONG!!!!. IF some sub-human POS does this type of crap to any defenseless animal. Then that fucker .. needs to be caught and have what EVER they did .. DONE TO THEM!!!!!!!

  4. I am certain someone knows who did this and hope the police are putting out a reward to find the scum that did this. What depraved minds (if you call what they have minds) to do this to an innocent animal. Disgusting, and same should be done to the person when caught. He deserves no less for how he made this hamster suffer.

  5. Whoever would intentionally hurt an animal is NOT HUMAN……. THEY ARE MONSTERS.
THERE IS ONLY ONE DANGEROUS BREED…………………
    HUMANS!

  6. So many awful despicable stories of abuse across the ocean,I see animal cruelty is just as rampant there as here. But I think the laws and punishment is even more lax than here in the U.S.! This story made me cry….such a horrific way to slowly die. SICKENING

  7. What a monster to hurt such a small, helpless animal. That poor hammie…it should not have had to experience such suffering in its little life…

  8. O Please does anyone really expect the RSPCA to do anything????? This poor little animal died due to some hunk of sewer slime’s cruelty and someone knows who this is – even if caught the RSPCA will do what it always does – NOTHING!
