A senior dog is in a bad predicament…stuck in a facility where he is scared, confused and frightened. An animal control facility where he may not be given the chance to walk free from because it is packed to capacity.

Samo is ten years of age – past the point of being a “highly desirable” dog for many adopters, but still alive and still deserving of being loved.

The Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page described this senior boy:

SAMO is incredible, a deep, soulful, gentle guy that just needs somewhere he can feel safe and loved. He is not feeling great in the Shelter, there are stray FIREWORKS every night and he has no idea what’s going to happen to him, the Shelter has NO EMPTY KENNELS! Please SHARE for a FOSTER or ADOPTER, he seems great with other dogs and kids and he CAN GO HOME TODAY! Thanks!

Samo was found as a stray, but his family never came to get him – now his is relying on the kindness of strangers to help save his life. Please share Samo’s adoption information and help him find a home, before it’s too late.

I think this shelter needs to care more about it’s animals, they can play zen music to calm the animals which has been proven to help.

I am amazed! There is a facebook page known to offer funds towards transport to move dogs to new owners, I think it is called Kindred Hearts. Please keep trying to rescue and help this senior! He is a great dog you can tell!

We are not in the best financial position right at this moment because we just moved to San Diego but I really can’t just let him be put down. Is there any assistance for this sort of thing?

Yes, there is! Kindred Hearts is a facebook page and there are rescue efforts known to assist–I have seen them on line but can not remember right away who they are–keep trying and please let me know if you get him.
