How tragic that these seniors were brought into the Lancaster Animal Shelter in California when they needed their families most. The unlikely pair weren’t brought in together, but this 11-year-old Labrador retriever and 16-year-old French poodle have created a senior bond. These pretty girls need someone to help them, and although they haven’t been bonded for any length of time, wouldn’t it be wonderful to see them adopted together?

Click here for the adoption listing for the poodle. “I don’t have a name yet and I’m an approximately 16 years, 5 month old female poodle min. I am already spayed. I have been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since February 28, 2017. I will be available on March 10, 2017. You can visit me at my temporary home at L325. Animal ID: #A1188931.”

I have been at the Lancaster Animal Care Center since March 2, 2017. I will be available on March 13, 2017. You can visit me at my temporary home at L325. Animal ID: #A3437577.”

Their Facebook page can be followed by clicking here. Please share their plights with approved rescue organizations, family, friends and social media contacts. There has been no interest in either of the dogs. We must not let this happen. Sharing saves lives. Advocates have been pledging funds to help with expenses payable to an approved rescue organization. Please don’t let their last photo read – “nobody came.”

  1. OMG!!! I wish I could take these two….they’ve really tugged on my heart strings. I pray a loving person will make room in their home for these two senior girls.

  2. Absolutely heartbreaking
Crying now knowing that these two angels were thrown away like trash and only now have each other
    Very very sad
I’ve pretty much given up on mankind

  3. It’s never ending these beautiful seniors being thrown away! They are bonded on a level that at this point the only right thing to do is to keep them together! No names it’s so stupid! Please there must be a home for these 2 where the time they have left will be spent being loved and cared for!

  4. Quelle tristesse. Pauvres mamies, finir leurs derniers jours en cage????vite, une vraie famille pour ces coeurs brisés mais toujours plein d’amour.
    Merci ????

  5. Why does people just dump a poor dog because they’re old, it’s terrible , These two I would
Love to see them kept together for the time they have left in life , if I had lived near I
Would have given both of them a home ????xx

  6. This is SO very Sad!!!! whatever happened to Frosted Faces, they used to be there for the little dogs like this IN the State of California! Home of the throw aways!!!! did they too Disband or just give up on helping the senior dogs….. of their State!!!

  7. Just heartbreaking…….

Hope these 2 precious seniors find furever homes (hate the idea that they end their lives in a shelter unloved and unwanted when they should be treated as treasured family members)…….

  8. PLASE some kind person adopt these two beauties and show them there is a safe loving home and they will never be dumped again. They both deserve to live out the remainder of their lives being cared for and loved together.

  9. GOD BLESS THESE BEAUTIFUL LOVING DOGS AND ALL LOVING ANIMALS WITH WONDERFUL LOVING FOREVER HOMES AND HEALTHY BODIES!!!!!!!! AMEN!!!

  10. I live in PA. With my husband, 12 yo daughter and 3 cats rescued from different states at different time. If there is no other way to save these two precious lives I can drive to CA and bring them here. We are mainly cat family but do love all animals and take good care of them. It is probably far the best option for these girls but better than letting the shelter kill them.

  11. Would it be possible to do the adoption from different state? We live in PA and mainly cat people (have 3 rescue cats). It is probably not the best option for these two precious girls but better than letting the shelter kill them.

      • That is nice to know::: I have been hoping the rescue Frosted Faces or another one out there would take them: I haven’t seen or read anything about the Frosted faces since this site started!!! California is so damn temper mental about out of state adoptions and that causes a lot of the little ones to be destroyed… they sure could use a helping hand ASAP!!!

    • I am perplex that a CALIFORNIA RESCUE ? FOSTER PROGRAM hasn’t stepped in to HELP .. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM THEIR TAX DEDUCTABLE DONATIONS ARE DOWN!!! FROSTED FACES USED TO BE RIGHT THERE TO HELP!!!!! ANY KNOW IF THEY THEY ARE STILL IN OPERATION????
