Sad senior surrendered by busy family

A senior dog named “Bobby,” is sad after he was surrendered to a busy California animal control agency. On Saturday, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, described Bobby’s situation:

After living his life outside his family’s home they left him when they became too busy. He is a calm, sweet, gentle soul that they said is ok with kids and other dogs. He is already neutered and he can start over TODAY! Please SHARE, he’s SO special he needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER NOW. Thanks!

Bobby has lost everything that he has ever known – his former family is free to go about their life and their dog is now sitting in a lonely kennel run, surrounded by strangers, as well as stressed and frightened dogs.

Please help this senior boy find a new family and home by taking a moment to network his adoption information.

  1. TOO BUSY???? Since Bobby was left outside 24/7 how did this piss poor example of a ‘family’ ever pay one bit of attention to him anyway – what, too busy to feed him? Yes, that requires a huge amount of time – these idiots are lying – they just did not want him anymore – I hope there is some kind soul out there who will take Bobby and give him the loving home he was denied.

  2. Please adopt or foster this older dog who has been abandoned by his owners who say they are too busy. Would they do that with a child of theirs? Family is scum to abandon their so-called family dog. Hope he gets adopted or at least fostered. Looks like a very sweet, mellow dog.

  3. My senior girl with health issues is laying on the couch next to me as I type this. She has a home for the rest of her life. I can’t even imagine dumping one of my dogs at a shelter. I’d live with them in my car before ever giving them up. Sharing this precious dog with prayers.

    • Same here, Linda. I have two geriatric Yellow Labs with significant health problems but they’re with me for the rest of their lives.

  4. We need a NATIONAL REGISTRY…. all people who abandon, surrender, abuse or murder an animal gets their name in the registry and they NEVER get to adopt, purchase, live in the same home as a pet for the rest of their lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I watched his video and I see a “young senior” – he doesn’t have what I refer to as “old dog eyes” yet. Poor boy – he’s in need of some groceries, too, as he looks skinny. He’s so handsome – hope he finds a new home soon.
