Senior dog - his family doesn't want him

Senior dog picked up as stray, but owner says we ‘don’t want him back’

A senior Labrador retriever was picked up as a stray and taken to the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California, on January 29. Staff was able to locate an identifying microchip in the dog’s neck and a phone call was made to let his family know that he was safe, and that they could come to the facility to reclaim him.

Sadly, there will be no happy reunion. The volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, described how this handsome senior dog’s family has betrayed him:

TANNER is pure, sweet, adorable LOVE! His owner was called to come get him and they said for the shelter to keep him, they don’t want him back.

Tanner has a family – but for reasons unknown, they have opted to turn him away, leaving his fate to chance. Until the owner comes to the animal control facility to sign the surrender paperwork, Tanner will remain on the 10-day “chip” hold.

Please network Tanner’s information to help him find a new, loyal owner, who would never consider turning their back on him.

This leads me to believe that Tanner’s owners dropped him off somewhere to fend for himself. What owner would not want their dog back after being found. Sounds suspicious.

Why the SURPRISE!!! Southern California is the worst in all of California for 85% of the entire population of that STATE NOT Giving ” A RAT”S ASS” about their animals…. it is beyond belief to read about the manner in which the “GUPPY POPULATION” of that state are absolutely devoid of ” having any feelings” they are cold, callus, and have no conscious when it comes to walking away without a second glance at the animals that LOVES THEM NO END!! I sure hope this lovely Lab Tanner is given a second chance to have a home that will provide him with LOVE, and COMPASSION!!!

When I was a teen we would go to the “movies’ of the beach parties and Beach Boys and simply ENVY the teens for the fun, sun, sand , fast cars and wish we lived there… HOLY COW ….now a people in their late 50’s and 60’s the population is the most shellfish, self-centered. narcissistic, population is the ENTIRE WORLD!!! They shouldn’t allow anyone in that area to have a PET of any kind to just toss away like a Coor’s Can to run over, crush, and drive on laughing!!

Of course they don’t want him back, they probably let him out to fend for himself in the first place. Silly of them not to cancel the micro chip, they should have known if found they would be called and now we know what a bunch of POS’s they are! Hoping Tanner finds a family that he deserves and not these horrible people who had a wonderful dog and can just abandon him!

OMG, what is wrong with those people? Tanner is perfect. I’m well versed in Labs and this guy is what I call a “young senior” at age 8. He has many years left. I hope he can find a home where he’ll be loved. Karma to his “family.”
