A senior dog named “Digger” has the least viewed adoption profile on his rescuer’s website. Well, that may have changed in the days since the Susie’s Senior Dogs Facebook page shared the 10-year-old dog’s profile with followers, but before that…Digger had the sad designation of being the most overlooked dog on the National Mill Dog Rescue website.

This week, Susie’s Senior Dogs went to bat (for a second time) for this overlooked senior – the post on Digger’s behalf reads:

Well, poor Digger has struck out again. 10 year old Digger is coming up on his one-year mark at the shelter, he’s the “least viewed dog” on the shelter’s website, and his first post on SSD resulted in…nada. Poor Digger. What’s it going to take to get this guy the home he’s been waiting too long for?

That particular post was shared on social media over 4200 times, but Digger’s adoption profile is still active…he still needs a loving home. Digger’s profile reveals his personality and indicates what type of home would be good for him:

Digger the Dachshund is one of a kind! His size may be on the larger side for his breed, but that just means he has a lot more love to give! Because he is a bigger Doxie, Digger would love to go on daily walks with his forever family. This curious guy enjoys being outdoors – he loves exploring new territories and gets along great with dogs of all sizes and both genders. Digger would fit best into a home with a fenced yard, but could also live in an apartment. He still needs to practice his potty training, which may be done on one of those daily walks outside. Digger is very friendly with people, too. During quiet time inside, he enjoys getting lots of attention and treats. He also wouldn’t mind some snuggling time. Everyone “Digs” this fun, cool guy! Digger is ready to find his forever home!

Please help overlooked Digger find a forever family by taking a moment to share his adoption information. Digger is located in Colorado Springs, Co. Adoption profile here.
