When Harris County Animal Shelter volunteers in Houston, Texas spotted Chinba with his painful, bright red skin still wagging his tail, tears came to their eyes. His owners were not able to afford to treat his horrible skin condition. On the bright side, however one can only be glad they decided to bring the dog to the shelter instead of dumping him on the side of the road.

Now Chinba needs rescue.

“As much as it breaks our heart to even watch this video, bashing his previous owners won’t help save him! So please, we are BEGGING, help us save Chinba! He desperately needs a new name and a new start to his life.

In order to save him, we need a rescue group to take him on. Rescue groups run entirely off of donations so the number one thing we need help with us funds for his vet care.”

For a rescue group to save this one-year-old puppy, a local committed foster home is needed. Since he is in such terrible condition, someone will have to take care of him until he recovers and is ready for adoption. The rescue group will cover all expenses – just a warm home and some love is needed. Local Houston residents willing to give this young dog a chance at a better life, please contact the shelter. Please note, there has not been any definitive diagnosis of the pup’s skin disease.

  1. I would done to the rescue. I can send a check if i know who the rescue is and can prove funds go for the dogs and not for their own personal use. Chinba deserves decency. Keep me posted.

    • As soon as we know who the rescue is, I will let you know. He has a rescue hold but we are unsure what rescue group is planning to save him. He has a rescue hold but we are unsure what rescue group is planning to save him.

  2. how in Heaven’s name could the owners let this poor dog’s condition get this far. ? take it to a vet in the beginning, then look around for further treatment on the internet.

  3. YET ANOTHER case for a national registry. This people DO NOT DESERVE A PET….. this poos baby had to suffer for many months before the low life, sorry excuse of owners decided to do something!! ABANDON this baby at a shelter! grrrrrrrrrrr

  4. Another prime example of owners whose negligence made Chinba’s skin condition – they obviously never did one thing to help him from day one. They ignored it until it became so bad and now claim they can’t afford vet care and dumped him in Houston’s Hell Hole of a shelter. PLEASE some caring rescue save this young dog – he is the innocent victim of uncaring owners.

  5. O please, this ridiculous excuse of ‘cannot afford a vet’ does not fly. These dirt bag ‘owners’ did nothing for Chinba from day one – they ignored the painful suffering until it was so blatantly obvious then dumped him in one of Texas’ shit hole shelters where if a rescue does not step up he will be put down ASAP. PLEASE SAVE CHINBA!
