Senior dog at packed animal shelter out of public view

Right now, a warning is posted on a volunteer-run Facebook page for a large animal control facility in Gardena, California – the building is packed to capacity, which means that all of the homeless pets in the care of the shelter are at risk.

One dog, a senior Dachshund mix dubbed “Bubo,” could use the help of strangers to get out of the Carson Animal Care facility. Bubo is being held in the medical portion of the building – away from public view. Potential adopters who walk the aisles of dogs will not even see this deserving pup.

On Wednesday morning, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page issued a plea on Bubo’s behalf:

BUBO 07/17/2017

SENIOR IN MEDICAL
➡️CAN GO HOME TODAY!  the Shelter is FULL!!⬅️

BUBO was moved to the medical building and now the public doesn’t really get to see him. he is already neutered and ready to go home but he needs your help. Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him. Thanks!

  1. Au secours, je ne veux pas mourir sans vraie famille. J’ai encore tant d’amour a donner.????????????

  2. Why did they take him away from the public eye? It’s just never ending and it makes me insane! Can we get an update on this sweet baby? Breaks my heart!

  3. Get this dog back into the area where he can be seen and eventually be adopted. There are many people who want an older dog and even one that may have some medical issues. Leave that up to the potential adopters to decide. Such a cute senior who will give many years of love to a new family.
