Emaciated dog at busy animal control

A sad dog, obviously emaciated and lacking in the care she needed, is behind bars at a busy, high-intake animal control agency in California. The dog, dubbed “Ashley,” is only two years of age and already she has found herself without a home…already she has been treated poorly.

Shortly after Ashley’s arrival in early  March, the Facebook page Save SBC Shelter Pups wrote:

ASHLEY ID #A501993
Available March 11
Ashley is super sweet, 2 years old and obviously starved/malnourished 🙁
San Bernardino City Shelter, CA doesn’t have many networkers, we really need your help sharing our dogs. The local rescues are full and we’re in big trouble!

Ashley has done nothing to deserve being left alone – she has done nothing to deserve being starved and she certainly has done nothing to deserve being locked behind bars, on death row, like a common criminal. Please help save this young dog’s life by sharing her adoption information.

Adopt-A-Pet Profile for Ashley here.

  1. Poor girl! How I wish I could evoke change for all dogs that seem to be disposable to our society! All of us animal advocates that work so tirelessly to change the awful plight of so many dogs seems to be getting no favorable results. Dogs seem to be as disposable as a used paper towel instead of the thinking, feeling, breathing little souls that they are! My car has better protection in life than dogs do! Dogs just want to be loved and to love us back and this is how they are treated! OMG! I hope somebody will give this very neglected girl a chance to know love and kindness for she has done nothing to deserve what humanity has dealt her!

  2. I live in Va & don’t know the networks in CA…..please people network for this precious pup….she has suffered enough….Don’t let her die????

  3. Partage. Ne laissez pas cette âme innocente mourir parce qu’elle n’a pas su être aimée ????????,il lui faut une VRAIE famille, vite. Merci.

  4. All animals in high kill shelters are doomed to death. Rescues will not pull for out of state rescues. When these posts come out, majority of the time, you are given less than a day to try and save the animal
Cali loves to murder dogs, loves it. Very few pass their watered down temperament tests just so they can murder them.. you can thank their sorry govenor brown, who signed into law, any dog that exhibits being scared, sick or aggressive in any form are not to be adopted or rescued. He is a freaking drugged out NUT. but the people of California voted that pos in and love that pos. Hell they love their illegals more than they value the life of a dog.

  5. Once again a defenseless innocent animal is the victim of the cruelty of a so called ‘human’. Ashley deserves a safe loving home and I pray there is someone in the San Bernardino area that will step up and give her one. This so called ‘shelter’ is well known for its lack of care and willingness to give animals minimal time to adjust and/or find a safe home. They are in the same category as NYCACC for neglect and incompetent management.
