A dog, believed to have been shot in the face, was picked up by animal control in Chickamagua, Georgia, after being found on someone’s porch. The dog, dubbed Evanna, has been taken under the wing of the Angel’s Among Us Pet Rescue, who described her dire condition:
Evanna is at the ER and has a 105 temperature due to infection and is very dehydrated. The vets and techs are working furiously to stabilize her so they can begin cleaning the would.
The rescue described how severe the injury is:
The wound is much larger than we thought and is several days old and completely infested with maggots.
Nobody knows who would be cruel enough to injure Evanna like this, but it is surmised that she may have wandered somewhere that she wasn’t supposed to be. The rescue group wrote, “This is Evanna. Her injury is so graphic, we blurred out her face. She may have been shot in the face. SHOT…in the face! I don’t know who in the world would do this.”
