A Missouri woman is singing the praises for her rescue dog, who recently saved her from a man’s brazen attack at her Arnold home. The frightening situation unfolded late Tuesday morning, when a man forced his way into a woman’s home on Kathryn Drive, reported KPLR 11 News.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, told the news agency, “You don’t think somebody is going to do this to you,” about the man who had pretended to be in need of help after his car supposedly ran out of gas. When the woman told the man that she was unable to help, he reached through the cracked door and punched her, before throwing her to the ground.

That’s when the victim’s rescued dog rushed at the man and scared him away. The woman told KPLR, “I thank God she was here, because I don’t know what would have happened,” adding, “She saved my life. She is the hero; she deserves everything.”

The police are searching for a 45 to 50-year-old man who is described as Caucasian. The victim stated that the man weighed between 150 and 200 pounds, and had shaggy hair and missing teeth. The man was wearing denim jeans, a black and white baseball cap and a denim coat – anyone with information is asked to call the Arnold Police Department.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”
