Julia Jacobson, 37, and her dog had been missing since September 2. On Friday afternoon, searchers found the Army veteran and her shaggy Wheaten terrier named Boogie, buried in a shallow grave in the southern California desert.

According to CbsLosAngeles, Julia’s vehicle was found by authorities a week after she disappeared near her San Diego home with the keys still in the ignition. Forensic evidence led authorities to believe she had been the victim of foul play.

On October 13, Dalen Ware, was arrested and charged with murdering Julia – his ex-wife. Authorities stated Ware had tipped off authorities to the “place he had buried” both Jacobson and Boogie. No motive for the murder has been made public at this time.

Julia, a retired U.S. Army captain, served two tours of duty in Iraq.

Rest in peace Julia and Boogie.

  1. I read this last night on a new site….so tragic but of course I think everyone knew this was going to be the outcome! For me I suspected her ex-husband and of course that’s who is responsible. So very heartbreaking and my prayers go out to all of Julia’s family and friends. ????????RIP JULIA JACOBSON AND BOOGIE????????

Catch the heartless bastard who did it .. and execute them. No trial … just eradicate the prick.

  3. Survives 2 tours in Iraq to come home and die in her own neighborhood and home.

    Day is done,
    Gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky,
    All is well, safely rest.
    God is nigh,
I’m sorry you and your true love boogie could not survive an ex. I am sorry you both suffered and felt too strong to ask for help. I’m grateful you were both not alone. I will think of you both today.
Thank you for your service to this country ,
    solider.
    Rest in peace.

  4. HOPE THE MONSTER ROTS IN HELL! TO DO THIS TO SOMEONE THAT SERVED OUR COUNTRY, AND TO THE VOICELESS INNOCENT. TO THE SCUMBAG MONSTER: YOU ARE IN FACT THE DEVIL MONSTER SCUMBAG! YOU WILL FOREVER SUFFER IN HELL, AND I WISH NOTHING BUT MISERY FOR YOU FOR ALL THE DAYS TILL SATAN TAKES YOU BACK SO YOU CAN JOIN THE REST OF THE MONSTERS IN THE LAKE OF FIRE WHERE YOU FOREVER BURN AND THERE YOU WILL FEEL THE EXCRUCIATING PAIN YOU CAUSED EXCEPT YOU SUFFER FOREVER.

  5. Because of this ex husband’s anger towards her, two lives, plus her dog are gone. She and the dog are in heaven now, but he will be going through a trial/conviction and eventual life in jail, and for what? Crazy people like him don’t think of the consequences for their actions but just act on them in violent anger. Not only her family had to deal with her and her dogs death, but he gave his family the same eventual outcome-life in jail. Premeditated murder. Hope Bubba have fun with him.

  6. NO! This just tears at my heart. It is hard to see the only good in this story. That being, Boogie is forever by her side. So,.so sad. RIP to you both, together in eternity.

  7. SURELY this low life, scum, sorry excuse for a human will be given the death penalty….he deserves no mercy, no sympathy nothing but a painful, long, drawn out death.
