“Real life monsters” shot 7 dogs in the head after breaking their necks and throwing their bodies away as trash along a rural road on the outskirts of Charlotte, North Carolina. The grizzly discovery, made on Friday by Pawsitive Impact NC Dog Rescue, has launched an investigation into animal cruelty.

On the organization’s Facebook page Saturday afternoon, the disturbing details and photos about the situation were shared with supporters:

“In this world, we unfortunately, are amongst some real life MONSTERS! Friday night we received a devastating message about seven dogs that were found dead and dumped by a rural road in Union County NC. Saturday morning Karlei and I drove out to the location (Morgan Academy Rd) that we were given to find a very gruesome, heartbreaking scene. Seven dogs murdered! Shot in the head and their necks were broken.”

The rescue group removed the bodies  and gave each dog a name posthumously to provide the animals with “dignity.” They decided to post the disturbing photos, after filing a report with the Union County Sheriff’s Department, hoping that someone will recognize the dogs and provide authorities with further information for the investigation possibly leading to an arrest and conviction for animal cruelty.

Two of the dogs were taken to a local veterinarian where the causes of death were confirmed as having had broken necks and gunshot wounds to their heads. The dogs were named Sophie, Scarlett, Ingrid, Rhett, Clyde, Baker and Bailey.Anyone with information about the dogs is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 704-283-3789 or Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600.

Rest in peace sweet dogs. We are so sorry that humans betrayed you. The dogs’ bodies will all be cremated.

  1. OMG, I just want to kill the person(s) who did this. Mostly hunting dogs – likely didn’t want to hunt or it was end of season and hunters didn’t want to be bothered caring for them until next season. I’m livid!

  2. Who ever did this will never be found and if they are it will be no big deal, they will do it again and get away with it. It only gets worst..!

  3. I hope that they get the evil cowards who did this evil evil thing to these poor helpless dogs.We don’t need evil cowards like this out in society.I hope someone in prison breaks their necks and sticks a knife up their ass every single day and cuts off their balls and sticks them down their throats because they aren’t worthy to even have any kind of mercy. They are pure evil. Those poor innocent dogs.Thank you to the people who went there and gave them names I hope someone knows who did this and turns them.So sad that we have such evil people in this world they will rot in hell someday but in the meantime I hope they pay for being the evil cowards that they are.

  4. These dogs don’t look like they were starved or maimed in any other way…. Beagles…. did they belong to someone who lost their home and didn’t know what to do with their pets? A revenge on someone? THIS IS LIKE A SCENE OUT OF “NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET OR SOMETHING ON THAT ORDER’ NORTH CAROLINA IN RIGHT UP THERE NEXT OF “OUR NO STAR STATE OF TEXAS FOR ABUSE OF OUR KIND AND LOVING 4 LEGGED ANIMALS””” shame on you and your state for not PUTTING TOUGHER LAWS AND ENFORCEMENT MEASURES INTO ACTION!!!!!

  5. If YOU know who did this and you do not report them….. YOU ARE JUST AS SICK, VILE AND EVIL AS THE MONSTERS WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER. Report who did this and save your own soul!
