Puppy tied in garbage bag rescued from hellish death

An animal lover walking his own rescue dogs in Greatham near Hartlepool, County Durham in the United Kingdom came upon a black plastic garbage bag on the side of the road Tuesday morning. Strangely enough, the dog walker, Kevin Wilmot was sure the bag had moved, and moments later secured his own leashed dogs to a nearby tree and approached the moving trash bag. To his surprise was a puppy looking up at him with his huge brown eyes.

“I’ve got a Patterdale and a Saluki who are both rescues and was doing my regular walk with them when I spotted the bag move,” Kevin told Express News. Luckily I had them both on a lead and managed to get the little thing out of the bag and carry him back to my car.”

Rescuing the adorable little puppy however came with a few uncomfortable moments for the unassuming hero.

“He was absolutely covered in fleas. I got bitten to death by them. I’m a keen animal lover, and I’m especially soft on dogs. It makes me sick that someone would do something like this,” Kevin stated.

After taking the puppy to his home, Kevin notified the RSPCA Great Ayton Animal Care where the pup, now known as Morty is being treated for worms and flea infestations.

Anyone with information about this cruel deed is asked to notify the RSPCA hotline at 0300 123 8018.

Deformed dog or not? Strange photo is driving people crazy! I’ll admit, this one took me awhile to figure out.

Who ever did this too this beautiful puppy, such be put in a bag and tie up and be left in the forest so know one would find the person? This person is a SOB and does not need too be here on earth. I am happy that the puppy is safe now.

I hope they find the person that did this but the odds are against it unless somebody steps up that knows about this puppy and turns the person in. Glad you were saved little pup!

So precious. I literally tell myself to stop every time I see bags or boxes on side of the road. Thank God for this man. Is the puppy staying at his home or being adopted out by RSPCA?
