Public’s help needed to rescue dog abused on Fresno street

The Fresno Animal Humane Control is asking the public for help identifying the man captured on video abusing his dog on a Fresno street Wednesday afternoon. According to KmphNews, the disturbing incident occurred near Ventura and “M” Street in downtown Fresno. The video shows the man beating the dog – then dragging it and picking the defenseless animal up by his leash.

According to the witness, the man had already been abusing the dog before the video began. The dog can be heard whining in pain while being hit.

If you recognize this man or have any information on him, you’re asked to call Fresno Humane Animal Control at 559-600-7387 or you can use this link to email a tip.

I agree, why just shoot a video? You let him get away and it is very possible he/she may be dead. Why didn’t you call 911 and follow the scum until the police showed. I heard you crying out. I heard the dog crying in pain. I could not stand by and videotape something so horrendous. I would grab a couple people to help me and take the poor dog. Praying with all my heart this sweet soul will be found.

Put up posters of this POS all over the area and tack a reward on it and I am sure he will be caught within days. Then drag him around by a leash and beat the crap out of him.

Wild horses couldn’t keep me away. They’d probably help me. Why didn’t didn’t you call 911 or get someone to help you save this dog? You just stood there and watched and made a video. Nice.

Why didn’t the person filming it call the police or do something. The guy is much bigger than me and a bully and I would be scared of him but still I could not just watch this behaviour.

I absolutely agree. This person had every opportunity to step in and do something and they did nothing. Let that be on her conscience. You can legally step in especially when you have a film to prove it in the puppy is screaming in pain. That is proof it is being abused. Disturbing, shameful and heartbreaking. I hope to God they find him in that the puppy is OK.
