On June 14, police discovered an abandoned dog, wandering alone in a park in Brooklyn, New York. The dog, dubbed “Megatron,” was taken to the New York Animal Care Center (Brooklyn), but not surprisingly, nobody came forward to claim him.

Megatron was on the “euthanasia list” on June 22 – his Petharbor link is still active today (Friday 6/23), but he is not safe. This abandoned dog’s history is unknown – all that is known is that he needs to quickly find an adopter or reputable rescue group to take him in.

According to NYC Urgent, Megatron is exhibiting signs of kennel stress – and it’s getting worse. Without help, he will be gone soon. Notes indicate that Megatron does best with female dogs – he has been friendly with the volunteers. Something is wrong with one of Megatron’s eyes – he should be evaluated and treated by a veterinarian.

  1. I Pray that Someone come forward and saves this Wonderful Dog. I Hope the Police checked for a ID-Chip. All Dogs and Cats should have one.

  2. Heartbreaking! I will never, never, ever agree with the killing of dogs for being homeless! It’s immoral,it’s a sin! Dogs are just entitled to their God given life just like u and I,just like all God given life! Mankind DOMESTICATED the dog and cat and so it’s now our responsibility to care their life! Humans should of just left the dog and cat undomesticated because look at the results…….abuse, neglect, torture, and killing them for no justifiable reason!!! BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME WORTHY OF DEATH!! BEING HOMELESS IS A DIRECT RESULT OF A HUMAN!! AND U CAN BET GOD IS BROKEN-HEARTED FOR THE TREATMENT OF HIS CREATIONS! Praying for this poor dog!!!!

  3. Tears and heartbreak for another life taken for no good reason by a cruel and insensitive society! RIP SWEETHEART…..YOUR LIFE MATTERED AND YOUR LIFE WAS CONSIDERED DISPOSABLE AND UNIMPORTANT BY OUR SOCIETIES SHELTER SYSTEM…..And for those immoral humans responsible for your plight, they will answer to their maker one day!
