Update 9/27/17: Rescued!

On September 20, a pitifully neglected dog was taken in at a busy, high intake animal control agency in California. The seven-year-old dog, named “Yuri,” appears to have had little, if any, care over the course of his life.

Yuri quite obviously is in need of a great deal of care – his coat is unkempt and his eyes are ulcerated. He has been made to suffer for far too long. Please help Yuri find the help that he needs by sharing his adoption information (which can be found below):

🔹Yorkie 🔹 AGE:7 years #A5113012
🔹 Male 🔹 ARRIVED:9/20
🔹 AVAILABLE ON: 9/24
🔹 Carson Shelter – 310-523-9566
🔹 M-TH 12pm-7pm, F-SU- 10am-5pm
🔹216 W Victoria St. Gardena, CA 90248

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING? If you are in LA, OC, SB, or Riverside County and can foster this dog, please take a moment to email [email protected] ASAP to request an application. It would save their life! 💚💚

  1. This little treasure deserves to be a beloved family member and if he were in Northern California, I would foster him in a heartbeat!!!!!

He would be welcome and treasured in my family. Anyone coming to Northern California in the immediate future???

    • Bunny…They don’t hold dogs real long in LA shelters, so if you are interested you should call them ASAP b/c time is usually limited. Looks like a sweet little guy. There is a rescue that may be able to help as well. It’s called ‘Leave No Paw Behind’.

    • There is an organization called “Freedom Train Animal Transport” – all volunteer that may be able to help you – [email protected] – this poor little dog has suffered enough – PLEASE consider fostering him and giving him the safe loving home he obviously never had.

  2. His owner should be PUT UNDER THE JAIL and forgotten. There is NO REASON to treat a little dog, or ANY DOG, in this manner. I have a Yorkie and they aren’t that much trouble to take care of. This is just the work of a LOW LIFE, SUB-HUMAN WITH NO HEART. Find them and hit them with every law you can find.

  3. too bad they can’t find the person who did this. I have a 13 yr old Papillon that looks like a pup, compared to this young dog. 7 yrs old is Not old for a dog. hope he finds a foster very soon.

  4. Please find a home for Yuri. Why do they ask for fostering/adoption only in that area. It doesn’t give any animal a chance of being saved.

    • So is YurI rescued or does he still need a foster, I would like to know, seen him on Carson site. It says he is rescued so I’m not sure. I have him on my mind so much. I would like to help him, could someone please let me know. I will also use the email. Any info appreciated. Thanks
