Snapchat videos showing a small pet alligator being forcefully made to drink alcohol amid laughter by two males is under investigation by the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The videos, which were sent to Fox News on Monday night, showed a man holding a small alligator forcing it to drink alcohol.
“How are me and my friends not internet famous yet?,” one of the participants is heard muttering while laughing. “Do it for state!”
As if that wasn’t cruel enough, a followup video showed another small alligator with a lit cigarette in its mouth as the man holds the animal by its tail.
“It happens too often,” stated Nicole Wilson, the director of the Humane Law Enforcement for the PSPCA. “There are too many times we see this kind of cruelty.”
The video was reportedly taken in the basement of a home in Bustleton, and, allegedly, one of the individuals seen in the video is the son of a Philadelphia police detective. An investigation continues, however no one has yet been charged.
