She arrived as a stray…but her family never arrived at the animal shelter to pick her up. Perhaps it’s for the best, the senior dog came to the New York Animal Care and Control facility in Manhattan with dirty fur, looking quite bedraggled and truth be told, a bit neglected.
The nine-year-old dog is now being called “Daffodil,” and she could use a bit of attention – she came to the shelter facility on August 8 and the “safe” period of her stray hold expired on August 11. Now she is considered to be “super urgent.”
Shelter notes on Daffodil seem to support the notion that her family will not be arriving to take her home – the notes read:
Observed Behavior – friendly, allows handling and examination with little restraint Evidence of Cruelty seen – appears to have been abandoned/neglected
Daffodil needs the help of strangers right now – she has nobody else. Please share her adoption information to help save her life.
