Two years ago, Belca had been on a walk with her owner when she sniffed another dog; moments later the owner of the other dog struck the Siberian husky in the face with a golf club. Surrendered by her owner to Carson Animal Shelter in California on August 31, the six-year-old extremely sweet pup can not breathe through her nose at all. Volunteers think the intense heat of the summer and her obesity has caused Belca to pant loudly – thus the reason her owners decided their dog was too much trouble – or just too noisy?

“This gentle beauty is so overweight, temperatures will be even hotter this weekend and she is stressing already. Please SHARE for her life, she’s SUCH an angel and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save her. Thanks!

Check out the awesome Volunteers giving her a pool to cool off in.”

  1. This is just NOT right!. Who let this poor dog get overweight and did they ever get her any treatment for her injury from the golf club? I would like to see the shape of her owners, are they slim and trim and able to breath ok? How I cringe every time I see a dog surrendered to Carson. The only thing poor Belca has going for her is we are here and will be sharing her plight and hopefully someone will get her out of there!

  2. Just another example of a cold hearted, soulless, immoral dog owner who should never, ever be able to have ANY kind of pet! Too bad the cold hearted people in our society can’t be put on a national list to prevent them from having the ability to have any animals in their possession, they have shown that pets are disposable to them, thus they should never be granted the privilege to possess another! What another class A cruel abuser! Abandonment is just another form of animal cruelty and animal abuse as far as I’m concerned!!!!!! I will keep Blanca in my prayers! SHARED WITH LOVE AND PRAYERS

    • Both the idiot who struck her and the piss poor owners both need a serious whack in the face with a 2×4 – never bothered to take this poor animal to a vet, overfed her and let some maggot hit her and DID NOTHING but dump her. They let her suffer for two years then dumped her. Man, I’d love five minutes with these aholes.

  3. We should all take turns with both these owners and give to them what they did to this dog. How does a dog get so overweight? She makes her own meals or steals food out of the refrigerator. Owners, it they can be called that, need to have community service in a high kill shelter and see what those dogs go through.
