In Nashville, Tennessee, the man alleged to have shoved his mother’s Shih Tzu into the an apartment complex’s trash compactor and activating it several times has been arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty. Officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department arrested Terrence Clark on Tuesday.
According to The Tennessean, a surveillance video shows Clark, 27, pull up to the area where the trash compactor was located, take the dog out of the back seat, shove it into a grocery bag and then put it into the trash compactor. Clark then can be seen pushing the button to start the compactor four times before he drives away. The dog was rescued after a resident of the complex called the Nashville Fire Department after he heard the pooch crying and barking inside the compactor. The dog was rushed to a veterinarian but died four days later.
Clark remains in jail in lieu of a $65,000 bond. Rest in peace little dog.
