Losing hope - one eyed stray Duncan
Spread the love

For months, nearly three now, a one-eyed dog dubbed Duncan, has been locked away in an animal control kennel run. Duncan, a three-year-old mixed breed, has been at California’s Downey Animal Control Center since September 9 and in the time that has passed, he has lost hope that anyone is coming to set him free.

Someone who recently met Duncan noted that the stray dog appears to have given up on ever leaving – the visitor wrote:

He just sat there when I met him. He seems to know that no one is coming for him.

Duncan has participated in play groups at the facility – it was noted that he was “a bit grumpy but doing better.” Please share Duncan’s adoption information and help him find a rescue agency or committed adopter.

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

  1. PLEASE some kind person step up for Duncan – he so deserves a forever home with a human who will love him as he is – you will never regret

  2. Like brindles? He is gorgeous. Got room? He would be an excellent and grateful family friend . He wants/ needs out of jail.. PLEASE. I would take him in a minute but i am too old. Rescue pull him please, call volunteer transport (like i volunteer for) and enjoy a best friend family member.

  3. Don’t forget to donate to rescue group when you get this baby home—PLEASE– Transport could use a little help for those that want to volunteer but don’t have the gas money.

  4. Shared! Please anyone close by; give Duncan a chance! Helping the voiceless is the greatest thing you can do, and can be your best and loyal companion! Please anyone, have compassion!
