A Milford, Delaware man has been arrested by the Delaware State Police after authorities stated he stabbed his girlfriend’s two dogs after a domestic argument. Police responded to a call at a North Union Church Road residence on Wednesday involving a fight between Denzel L. Brown, 27 and his girlfriend.
According to the Delaware Online, troopers were able to settle the argument between the couple when the woman secured her two pit bulls inside their crate and left the home. While Brown had been waiting outside of the home for his ride to pick him up, he went back into the house to gather some of his personal belongings. Minutes later he walked outside, stating the dogs had been fighting with each other, and he stabbed both of the animals with a knife.
Brown was arrested and charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, two counts of animal cruelty and criminal mischief. He was transferred to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $16,100. bond.
The Delaware Animal Control removed the deceased dogs from the home. Rest in peace dogs. We are sorry your lives ended so soon; it just wasn’t fair and we hope you find justice somewhere down the line.
