A Meshoppen, Pennsylvania man was sentenced to state prison for animal cruelty after dragging his dog behind a min-bike on July 4th. Harry Scott Faux was sentenced to 12 to 24 months in prison.

According to the WcExaminer, Judge Shurtleff also sentenced Faux to a separate 12 to 24 month sentence for driving under the influence, which occurred during the time the dog was dragged. Faux has had previous DUI convictions. Meshoppen Police Chief John Kreig testified that witnesses saw Faux driving his mini-bike in a fast and reckless manner with the dog attached to the back of the bike by a short chain. The witnesses chased Faux down and demanded he stop dragging the dog after seeing the act and the dog’s paws profusely bleeding.

Faux told the onlookers he was teaching his dog a lesson after it had chased a bike. The dog was removed from Faux’ custody and treated for its injuries. He was also ordered to pay restitution for the dog’s rehabilitation in the amount of $1,042.

  2. J’espère quand prison, il va souffrir autant que se pauvre loulou. Il ne mérite pas de respirer le même air que se bébé innocent.

  3. Thank GOD for that judge!! It’s about time these demented sickos pay for torturing animals!! It infuriates me that morons take pleasure in hurting animals. I hope somebody drags him behind a dirt bike. Ass hole.

    • She was treated by a local vet for her paw injuries and was adopted by a family after she rehabilitated. She was undernourished badly, could feel her ribs 🙁 She’s in a much better place now!

  4. This is a good start to holding animal abusers accountable for their inhumane treatment of innocent animals. Although I do think that the punishment should be harsher. Let’s hope this sorry excuse for a human being will never be allowed around dogs, cats or any animals. Should be a registry for animal abusers nation wide!
