A man has been charged with animal neglect after he left his senior dog inside of a hot car (without ventilation or water) and the dog suffered severe heat stroke. According to the Suffolk County SPCA, the dog, an eight-year-old pit bull named “Convict,” had to be humanely euthanized to prevent further suffering.
The man reported to be responsible for the cruel deed is identified as 60-year-old Michael Milone of Shirley, New York.
