A man in Houston, Texas, is accused of committed a heinous act of animal cruelty against his dog. According to Wednesday’s publication of the Houston Press, a dog’s head was wrapped in duct-tape and then the canine was beaten with a crowbar.
The man accused of the cruel deed is identified as 58-year-old Dwain Ray Riley, a man with a long history of criminal transgressions. In the most recent situation, which happened on July 23, Riley secured the dog, named “Mud,” to the wheel of a vehicle before beating him with the crowbar.
According to ABC 13 News, Mud was “seriously” injured in the beating – the dog “fled” the scene – no word on whether or not Mud was found and treated. Mud’s owner is facing a felony animal cruelty charge and could face up to two years in prison if he is convicted.
