When a Colorado mail carrier noticed that an elderly dog on his route was struggling to get in and out of the house to greet him each day, he took matters into his own hands. According to the Daily Camera, Jeff Kramer delivers mail in Boulder and he has been greeted by a Labrador retriever named “Tashi,” for several years.
Lately, Tashi’s advanced age (14 years!) has made his trek up and down the front steps to say hello more and more difficult. Kramer took note of the dog’s struggle and decided to bring over the wood from a ramp that his own dog (now passed) formerly used. Kramer told the Daily Camera,”I just noticed they needed it. I didn’t need it anymore and I hate throwing things away.”
The gifted wood was not immediately put into use, however – owner Karen Dimetrosky explained the reason why:
We’re not very handy, I’m more handy than my husband, but I didn’t know how to put that together.
Again, the mail carrier came to the rescue – not only did he provide the supplies, but he came over to the home on his day off to assemble the ramp to help make Tashi’s life just a bit easier. Dimestrosky commented on the generous gift, “It’s incredible – I can’t imagine not having the ramp now. It’s the only way he gets in and out.”

What a great mailman!!!
It’s really great to see the mailman make such a gift to his friend, the Labrador Retriever, Tashi, in his old age. May Jeff Kramer be plentifully rewarded for caring for Tashi.
