Rocker David Lee Roth’s dog, an Australian Cattle dog, is accused of taking a bite out of a landscaper who was doing work at his home in Pasadena, reported TMZ on Saturday. The singer claims that his dog merely nipped at the man who filed an insurance claim over a month after the alleged incident.

However, TMZ reports that the bite victim, identified as Timothy Salinas, has stated that Roth’s dog attacked him – taking a “chunk” out of his calf, and that his boss warned him not to immediately report the incident, because he would be fired.

Commenters on the TMZ article are debating whether this situation is the equivalent of making a mountain out of a mole hill, or if Roth owns an unruly dog who inflicted true harm on the man…

  1. “Taking a chunk out of…”?

If that photo is actually thae man’s leg – post “attack” – then I cry “bullshit”!

  2. Judging from the picture it hardly looks like the dog “took a chunk” out of his leg. I would say more like the nip was more accurate and why wait for a month to report it and file a claim. My thinking is someone trying to get a pay day out of a well to do singer!

  3. I’d say the dog bit him, but the dog didn’t take a chunk out of his calf there would be blood or a hole on his calf and I don’t see one, do you??? I think this person is looking for a big pay out. He was bit, granted, maybe he should be somewhat compensated, but not a big pay out for a chunk when there isn’t one.
