In Kansas City, Missouri, a Kansas City fireman revived a dog pulled from a burning apartment building in the historic area of the city on Friday. At least one person jumped from the second story of the building. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. It appears to have started in the rear of the building.

According to Fox News, the apartment building is located at Bellaire and St. John. Two people were taken to the hospital suffering from smoke related injuries. A woman kicked out a door on the second floor and jumped. She was transported to the hospital.

The dog was quickly pulled from the building, and a firefighter performed CPR on her. She was given oxygen, and slowly regained consciousness. Firemen brought her over water to drink, gently reassured her everything was fine,  wrapped her up and brought her to KC Pet Project.

The dog, now named Cinderella, was given x-rays to check for lung damage and other injuries sustained from the fire and smoke inhalation. According to the rescue organization, she will stay with KC Pet Project for the next ten days while her owner recovers in the hospital. Hopefully the two will be reunited.

KC Pet Project We are now calling her Cinderella. Anyone who wishes to donate to her medical care may do so at http://donate.kcpetproject.org/roadrunnerfund. We thank you for your support!

Many thanks to our hero firemen and the brave and wonderful jobs they do.
