On Saturday evening, an innocent three-month-old puppy was discovered at an apartment complex in San Antonio. He had been abandoned sometime in the middle of the night and had been intercepted by a “dog flipper” who apparently was ready to sell the puppy for any amount of money. No one knows anything about this puppy’s past, but his matted and emaciated condition told a part of his story. Even worse however, he appears to be suffering from a life threatening medical condition; it is currently unknown the cause of his apparent neurological disorder.
When called to help, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped up immediately and arranged to procure the puppy from the dog flipper and rushed him to the emergency veterinarian hospital for help.
“We are in the process of conducting a battery of tests to figure out if we are not too late to help Danny,” stated Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of the rescue organization. “Take one look and you will surely cry – matted, filthy and a life of neglect. No doubt Danny was on his own for months – fighting everyday at survival.”
On late Saturday evening’s update, Danny was moved to a foster home for the weekend so he would not have to be in a cage at the veterinarian clinic. Beginning Monday, every medical procedure will be conducted to diagnose and help this little puppy.
