A pup, recently hailed a hero for alerting her owner to a fire at an apartment complex in Huntsville, Alabama, is being booted out because of her breed. According to Live 5 News, apartment management has determined that the white, mixed breed pup looks enough like an “aggressive” breed (pit bull) that she is not allowed to live there.

Amos Smith owns Queen Snow and he is devastated that he is being asked to leave with his pup – he told Live 5 News, “I mean, it’s going to kill me. You know, I’ve only had her for like two or three weeks, but this is my dog. I love her like a child. This is my child.”

Just last week, the five-month-old puppy alerted Smith to an early morning fire at the apartment – because of Queen’s behavior, Smith woke up and heard someone calling for help. After a call to 9-1-1, firefighters arrived and were able to save a man inside of his burning residence.

But no good deed goes unpunished – the management at the complex considers the puppy to be an aggressive breed so she, and her owner, have to leave. Smith said that he was told, “She might have done one thing good. That’s what they said. She might have done one thing good but that doesn’t make up for her being a pit bull.”

Did you know that if you want to get updates from a Facebook page, you need to do more than “like” it? To get recent postings in your Facebook feed, you must also hover your mouse over the word “following” and then click “see first” from the drop-down menu. You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your favorites among those to “see first.”

Not even based on breed, it’s just about the dogs appearance. I have 3 pit bull dogs, (no one knows for sure) and I get some strange looks when I walk them. Either people really love these dogs and the others are just ignorant and think they are killers.

Hopefully after they both move out, the apartment manager will have a fire in his home and there won’t be a pit bull to alert him. It would be great if the neighbors could all pack up and leave also. Nothing like and empty apartment building.
I hope Mr. Smith and his dog Queen find a safe place to live.

This needs to be fought…..they are wrong for saying your pup has to move……if they stick to it…..if I were you, I would take my pup and move. They don’t deserve you and your dog to live there. I would also contact your area news channel and ask them to run this story…..SHAMEFUL ON THE APT COMPLEX PART.

So your mother may have done one thing good but that doesnt make up for you being an ignorant, biased, uninformed jerk.

It’s not the dog breed it’s the bad owner’s who train the dog to be bad. People need to wake up and realize that. Pitt bulls are big babies ans sweet as pie.

I want the name of the landlord ! I hope that Mr. Smith and Queen find a new place to live and that the management company is made to pay a vast amount of money for their moving expenses and pain and suffering!

So this idiot of an apartment manager decides this dog ‘looks like’ a pit bull – SO WHAT? This dog saved people’s lives and this is the thanks she gets? This so called ‘manager’ sounds like they could not manage a trip to the bathroom – Snow Queen and Amos Smith deserve much better than to be treated with such bias. PLEASE contact the media and bring this idiot of a manager to task for their ridiculous ignorant behavior. Pit Bulls are great dogs, the only danger here is the human ‘manager’ whose brains are stuck where the sun never shines.

Tell the landlord that he can’t help but be an ASSHOLE even though his mother did a good thing and carried him to term. You would be better off living somewhere else that has DECENT PEOPLE living there. I would CERTAINLY sue them over that. There is no call for this to happen. I would surely let the nearest news station know what has happened and tell everyone what kind of landlord runs the place. SHAMEFUL.
