Perhaps the only logical conclusion one could draw is that this beautiful blue merle  senior Great Dane found scavenging the streets and much too close to the road has been tossed away as her puppy producing days have waned. Most likely used as a breeding machine, the friendly eight-year-old dog arrived at the North Central Animal Care and Control on Friday. Sadly, she had no microchip; no owner, no name and no soft bed of her own.

Click here for this dog’s Pet Harbor adoption listing. “I am an unaltered female, gray and black Great Dane. The shelter thinks I am about 8 years old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 14, 2017.” For more information about this animal, call Los Angeles Animal Services – North Central Shelter at (888) 452-7381
Ask for information about animal ID number A1714981. A Facebook page for this dog can be followed here.

“At North Central! Just arrived! No WORDS…. just heartbreaking,” volunteer Denise Santiago Jones posted on her Facebook page to bring awareness to this dog’s plight.

This Great Dane is expected to be available for adoption on July 20, and as noted thus far, can be adopted by anyone from the general public. Think carefully before adopting a dog; it is a lifetime commitment. They depend on us for their happiness, good health and safety.  Please share her story and the video below. Sharing saves lives, and every life counts. Isn’t it time this sweet dog gets to enjoy the pampered life? You bet it is!

  1. She deserves love and a soft bed for however many years she has left Can somebody step up? I’m over my limit.

  2. Heartbreaking! All puppy mills should be banned and made illegal. I can just imagine how many puppies this poor dog had to produce and when she became too old to have puppies, she’s thrown away like yesterday’s trash. I hope someone from California would open his/her heart and give this well deserved pup a loving home.

  3. What a gorgeous lady!!! I wish I were in the area so I could foster her……

I wonder if there are any breed rescues in the area who could pull her?

I hope she finds a new furever home ASAP where she will be a beloved and treasured family member……

I hope the disgusting POS’s who dumped her suffer for the rest of their miserable lives, die horrible, painful deaths and burn in Hell forever for their cruelty………

  4. SHE DESERVES Ä CAREFUL LUFE !!! HOW CAN PEOPLE USED DOGS LIKE THIS ??? IT MUST BEE STOPPED ???????????????????? WHUSH HER Ä WONDERFUL FOREVERHOME ???????????????? HUGS FROM SWEDEN ????????????????????????

  5. PLEASE – someone step up and give this beautiful lady the safe loving home she obviously never had and so well deserves. These backyard scumbag breeders/puppy mill trash need to be banned nationally – they are responsible for shelter overcrowding and only care about their profits – it is time to end this tragedy – ALL puppy mills need to be put out of business permanently!!

  6. She’s beautiful. At age 8, she’s quite old for a Dane but hopefully still has a couple of years remaining. I love Danes – such gentle giants.
