How it emotionally hurts to be a frightened dog left alone in an unfamiliar and noisy shelter; what happened to Carter? The eight-year-old German Shepherd/ Labrador mix has been at the Ramona Humane Society, located in San Jacinto, California, since April 24. A volunteer tells his heartbreaking story:
“Carter wants someone to stay with him in his kennel. He cries when he is left alone. When someone tries to take him out of the kennel to go outside, he drops to the ground. The loud, scary sounding barking dogs all around him have him terrified.”
A Facebook page for Carter can be followed here. He does well with people and can be adopted, fostered or rescued by an approved organization. More information about Carter can be found at Romana Rescue Friends Network. It is reported the dog came in as a stray and weighs 67 pounds. He is up-to-date on shots, de-wormed and gets along with other dogs. Share his story with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives. (Reference #118008)
