In Fayetteville, North Carolina, the former soldier accused of tying her emotional support dog to a tree and shooting him five times in the head has been found dead.  Marinna Rollins, 23, and Jarren Heng, 25, each faced a felony animal cruelty charge after the brutal shooting of the dog in April; Heng videotaped the disturbing incident. According to WbtvNews, Rollins was found dead at her home located at 5600 Netherfield Place. Police are investigating the ex-soldier’s death as a suicide.

On Sunday, Fayetteville Police Lt. Todd Joyce declined to explain what evidence detectives found. He says police were called to her apartment early Sunday after her body was found by friends.

Both Rollins and Heng had been accused of taking the dog into the woods, tying the brown and white pit bull named Camboui  to a tree and then shooting him in the head five times. Heng was heard on the video asking Rollins if he could shoot the dog too. One of the three disturbing videos, shows Rollins dragging the lifeless body of her dog to a shallow grave speaking to him:

“It’s been real… I love you, you’re my puppy, you’re a good puppy, but … “

According to court documents Rollins received a medical retirement from the army in January. Authorities located the dog’s body on Wednesday buried in the woods in a shallow grave.

  1. I guess she should have thought twice about killing her emotional support dog, it would seem she needed him!

      • Piper – I sincerely hope you don’t wait until your soul is required of you to find out that my beliefs are indeed true and not a fairy tale.

      • This woman may have been mentally ill. She may have simply been wicked. She could have been both. Alcohol and drug use and abuse can certainly mimic mental illness.

  2. Forgive me, folks if I appear heartless but she should have found the dog a good home and done this (commit suicide) BEFORE she killed her own dog.

  3. I am sickened about how easy it is for some people to abuse, the one best friend they might have had. Shame on all of you !

  4. A tragic end to an even more tragic story and life. Was she always “sick” or did she snap in the military?? At least this time she hurt herself instead of an innocent, defenseless being. Her psycho boyfriend was heard asking to shoot the dog, too?! HOW SICK! HE still needs to be put far away from the rest of us. No point in saying “RIP”, I doubt any of those involved would recognize peace. Tragic.

  5. HOWEVER THIS PUTRID PIECE of VILE GOT THE JOB DONE ::: I Sure in the Hell Personally DID the RIGHT AND JUST THING !!! HER LOVING AND BEAUTIFUL DOG in NO WAY DESERVED the HORRIFIC DEATH he was “FORCED TO ENDURE” Good riddance to this PSYCHOTIC EVIL PIECE OF LIVING FILTH!!!! HER BOYFRIEND needs to follow her EXAMPLE of LEAVING THIS UNIVERSE!!!!

    • I can’t say I will shed any tears over the loss of this psycho. What she did to that poor dog, dictated she rot in Hell and I’m sure that is where she was headed.

    • She’ll meet her maker alright, straight to.. HELL. It’s funny how Karma works out well because they both would be charged with a Felony. Justice for Huey 🙂

      • Rev. Karma does exist for some that follow other religious beliefs other than your own. You wouldn’t want anyone to be imposing on your religious belief, therefore, you are not justified in imposing that situation on others. Be kind and remember WE ALL DON’T FOLLOW CHRISTIANITY!

  6. After watching the video I can honestly comment I don’t feel sorry for her. Was it the guilt for killing Cam or the barrage of hate she most likely received for killing Cam. Who knows for sure. Her viciousness and laughter sent a clear message she was an evil person.

      • You should have then maybe you could understand why so many people hated her for the crime she committed to a helpless dog.. really sad indeed.

      • Neither could I. I don’t feel sorry for her because I don’t think she was capable of feeling anything. I do still believe this is TRAGIC and I would like to know if she “snapped” in the military. By the way, this supposedly was not her dog, but her soon to be ex husbands. Twisted and questionable story, but you can find it, just google.

      • Laura Austin – As a Christian political activist and animal rights advocate, I receive enough graphic photos and videos of animals and people being abused, tortured and killed that sometimes I have to put it aside for awhile. I refuse to watch any more than I have to to do my job as an activist to motivate others to enact laws, arrest and prosecute the bad guys and get help for the victims.

  7. I doubt she had any guilt. You have to have a heart and conscience for that. Her psycho boyfriend encouraged this I believe because he was jealous. I’m sure her haters got to her. Good! What would possess any woman to do this to her pet that she was supposed to love and care for. She could have given him back to her ex. She chose to shoot him in cold blood. Now somebody needs to take care of that low life ignorant worthless scumbag boyfriend that was part of this! I don’t feel any sympathy whatsoever for the bitch . Saved the taxpayers some money. They wouldn’t have given her a sentence worthy of her crime either so….it’s done now. I really hope they hang the boyfriend’s ass. They won’t and he will go out and do worse next time! He is pure evil!

  8. Karma is a bitch, and this bitch deserved to die for killing an innocent animal. Hope she rots in hell for eternity.

    • Karma doesn’t exist because God does exist. She may very well be burning in hell for all eternity – not rotting in it.

      • Will you stop saying karma doesn’t exist! Your beliefs aren’t the only ones although Christians like to think so. This is about a sick ass bitch killing an innocent animal NOT your fairy tale religious beliefs.

  9. Maybe she would be alive if she had her “emotional support” puppy by her side to give her confidence and purpose. She became a victim of her own evil doings. RIP Camboui. I hope you have found the peace you so richly deserve.

  10. Good riddance, one less evil monster in the world! I do not feel bad,not one iota. I’m still hoping her cohort gets the MAXIUM!

  11. Sorry soldier…you were a nice soldier…BUT…
One down one to go. …
I hate how they say ACCUSED it was on video with their faces.
Go karma go! One less useless nasty excuse for a human….
Thank you karma..may you find the other!
And for those who are related. ..sorry you are a relative not sorry i said it not sorry i think it. …
    Sorry you are related.

  12. Although the act she did was horrible and senseless I feel sorry for her family and hope they do not see many of these comments. This was a disgusting act but now she has a mother/family that is grieving and I feel sorry for them . not saying the anger is unjustified just saying there should be some sympathy for her family who had nothing to do with her actions.

    • I’m trying to dig deep to find some sympathy but nope nothing there. I could give two shits about her family. I only care about the innocent animal murdered. You want to cry for her “poor” family go right ahead, I doubt anyone’s gonna join you

  13. Well we don’t have to worry about her hurting another animal. No tears from me for her. She got what she deserved. She knew she was wrong.
