Update 7/11/17: Rescued!

A senior shepherd has lost hope from behind the bars of his kennel run at a busy animal control agency in California. The German shepherd, named “Kobi, has been held at the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena since June 10…four long weeks have passed and the 10-year-old dog is still homeless.

Kobi’s dying hope has been noted – recently, a woman wrote:

Today was the first day that KOBI did not greet us with excitement. He wouldn’t even get up. He is losing hope, losing weight and losing his beautiful spirit and he needs help

Kobi needs the help of strangers if he is ever to walk free from this facility. Please take a moment to network his adoption information and help him find the assistance that he needs.

There are several German Shepherd Rescues in California, has anyone contacted them? I will share here in New York State, but don’t know how much good it will do. He is a beautiful boy and would make someone a wonderful companion, If I wasn’t so far away and already had 4 dogs, I’d love to give him a home.

Poor baby, I pray he finds his loving forever home. Just wondering why someone doesn’t coordinator a flight or transport some of these dogs in over crowded shelters to places where they stand a better chance of adoption. Many times I have seen dogs I would’ve considered adopting but I live in IL and have no way to get them from CA or other places.
