A family in Fennville, Michigan, was heartbroken when they came home and found their German shepherd puppy hanging from their deck. According to Tuesday’s WZZM News, Angelica Delacruz, the owner of the nine-week-old puppy, believes that someone intentionally killed her family’s pet.

Delacruz told WZZM, “We came home and my daughter found him hanging from his collar. He didn’t do this accidentally.” Delacruz believes that a contractor (who is having a dispute with the family) is behind her puppy’s death – and the police have been made aware of the possible crime.

Delacruz’s children are having a hard time understanding why their puppy is gone – the pup, named “Bear,” was purchased after the family’s last dog died after being hit by a car.

  3. My condolences to the family, well really just the kids……. RIP both puppies, sorry your adult humans failed you………

I would never leave a puppy alone outside…… too many bad things can happen…….

Hope the cops catch the POS’s who murdered this precious puppy (& that they burn in Hell forever for their cruelty)……

  4. The first dog was run over by a car and now this one has been hanged from a deck. Where pray tell was the puppy that someone could have gotten hold of him to do this. Obviously not safe in a crate inside the house!. It makes me sick to see a poor puppy killed like this and who ever did it to him should rot in Hell, but the owners need to take some responsibility in this since it appears the pup was left so someone could get the opportunity to do this. Rest in peace Bear, your precious life was worth so much more than to end like this I do hope there will be some justice for this poor little pup!

    • That was my first thoughts, also. Why was a nine week old puppy outside when no one was home supervising? I have two grown adults who are never outside in my fenced backyard unless I’m watching. They’re like children, you just can’t leave them on their own. My second thought was why did they buy a puppy when there’s so many shelter animals and rescue groups pleading to rescue their lives? Then, I read that their previous dog was killed by a car. I agree that there sounds like a problem of responsibility with this family…..

  5. People are just fucking sick. It’s a little puppy. If it was done intentionally I hope the fucker that did it gets whats coming to him. The family should do something to tarnish the idiots reputation if it’s the contractor. I’d pay the bastard a visit thats for sure.

  6. They got this puppy to replace the one hit by a car….hum, maybe not the most diligent of pet parents? Also they state that the pup couldn’t have possibly accidentally done this himself? Have you ever watched a goofy 9 week old puppy playing? An unattended puppy could get into A LOT of trouble playing around. In this heat, and at that age, why wasn’t the pup safely inside it’s crate while they were gone? Just say’n.

  7. First off why was this puppy left outside by itself! These people are responsible for the death of this puppy! Who ever they are having a dispute with may have done the killing, but they are guilty as well! Never leave your dogs outside by themselves especially puppies!

  8. Puppies in collars are killed accidentally more often than we know. If he snagged his collar on a nail sticking out he could twist himself inside out and end up over the edge. Yes, they have made an enemy of their contractor. But it would need to be proved that he has a history of evil deeds. It could have been an awful accident when all is said and done.

  9. So, unless the contractor had a key to the house, it seems this little puppy was left alone in the yard – with nobody home. Fail on the part of the owners if this is the case. Of course, the contractor had no right to kill an innocent puppy. IF it was the contractor and IF he’s found guilty and given some time in prison, he’s going to wish he had just settled with the family and moved on. RIP, sweet Bear. I hope the family learns from this and keeps any dog(s) they have in the future inside unless they are home to supervise.
