An old dog is getting a new lease on life after being removed from her former family, who referred to her as “bi*tch.” The senior pit bull had spent her entire life in the backyard – not allowed to be part of her family’s life.
A social media post reveals just how sorrowful this old dog’s life was…before she was saved:
She cries in pain! Something is wrong with her front leg/ shoulder. She can barely walk. She is filthy, smells, her coat is dull. Her teeth are filed down, the rest rotten. Her body shows sores from living outside. She lives in Moreno Valley where it gets HOT in summer, COLD in winter. Her life wasn’t a good one…
Thank to a woman named Pamela, the old girl was removed from her lonely existence and taken to a veterinarian, probably for the first time in her life. In a Facebook post, rescuer Claudia Hoffmann wrote, “Poor girl has severe degenerative arthritis. They took x-rays, gave her steroid shot, inflammatory & pain meds. Yesterday she went back since she was still crying in pain. They increased meds and gave her laser treatment. So far the vet bill is a little over $500 and there will be more treatments…”
Much has changed for this old gal – no longer is she known by “Bi*tch,” today she is Stitch. No longer is she sleeping on the cold, hard ground – today she is sleeping on an orthopedic bed with a foster family. Hoffmann wrote:
The old lady has adjusted well to her new surroundings in those few days. She is soaking up all the love and attention and can’t seem to get enough. Foster mom Pamela cleaned her up and treats her like a baby. Stitch’s favorite part of the day (besides eating of course) is watching the sunset with foster mom and dad. Everyone is sitting outside in the grass and Stitch gets up when she feels it’s time to go back inside.
She LOVES being inside watching sports in front of the fireplace. Most of the time mom or dad sit with her and Stitch INSISTS that someone is touching or massaging her. She CRAVES attention!
Gone are the days of being neglected and ignored – gone are the days of unbearable loneliness, thanks to people who took the time to make a life-changing difference.
