A dog owner, said to be a dog breeder, epically failed his pets when he allowed them to walk in public, off leash, and frighten bystanders. According to the Daily Mail, two of the five dogs were shot and killed by responding police officers on Sunday.
The dogs belonged to 39-year-old Daniel Hennessy of Bolton, Greater Manchester – the man is facing charges for allowing dogs to be dangerously out of control and one count of affray, reported the Metro U.K. Though Hennessy is said to be “heartbroken” over the death of his dogs, the blame seems to rest solely on his shoulders.
A video taken before the dogs were shot and killed shows Hennessy not only allowing the dogs to rush bystanders, but also, of the man confronting individuals who expressed fear about the dogs being off leash. In the video, the man appears to be angry that he is being told to leash his dogs – he shows no remorse for allowing his dogs to rush at a group of people who are standing outside of a business.
Hennessy apparently breeds the dogs who were with him on Sunday – selling the puppies online for upwards of £800.
