Dog suffered a miserable existence at the end of a chain

A dog in Ohio has been freed from her miserable existence…the skin and bones dog, dubbed “Ruby,” was existed on the end of a chain. Judging by her emaciated body, she was provided with nothing – not even food. Without a doubt, prior to being freed from her sad existence, she never knew the touch of a kind hand, or heard the whisper of a compassionate voice.

On Thursday, the Ohio SPCA detailed the badly neglected dog’s misery:

Ruby’s life was the end of a chain. She was flea infested and her ears are covered with fly-bite wounds. Her body can’t hide the years of breeding and then the deprivation of food and medical care to the edge of death.

Fortunately, the days of loneliness and suffering are now behind Ruby. She has been removed from the chain – taken away from the people who ignored and neglected her. Though Ruby is safe, she is not fully out of the woods – the shelter stated, “Her frail body is so tired, weak, and she is vomiting. She is now on IV fluids at MedVet in Columbus.”

According to NBCi 4 News, two puppies perished at the residence and one survived. An animal cruelty complaint has been filed with the sheriff’s office.

  1. “Biblical reciprocity” is in order: Subject those responsible for this heinous deprivation and abuse TO THE SAME TREATMENT!

Maybe THEN the prospect of actual PUNISHMENT may provide a deterrent?!

Prayers for precious Ruby’s full recovery…

  2. The only real justice is to put scum who’d do this on the end of a chain and to keep them there for the same length of time they kept their innocent dogs on one, in the same weather extremes and under the EXACT SAME CONDITIONS! If there was no food, attention, shelter, room to move, etc., THAT is what they get for the same amount of time. Maybe then these vermin would stop using dogs as living lawn ornaments.

  3. Two things make ME WANNA TORTURE MOTHER FUCKERZ…CRUELTY, of ANY KIND & to ANYONE or ANYTHING…& IF INJUSTICE FOLLOWZ!!! Sickening the SCUMBAGZ that get away with this SHIT! WTF! ??? This MoFo BEST GET PUNISHED, or I’ll hunt him down!

  4. I hope that she has the will to live, that she recovers and becomes healthy enough so that she may live to experience the love and warmth that humans should have provided her from the start.

  5. Il est anormal que l’ont ne punissent pas plus sévèrement tout ces actes de cruauté. Moi je dis, oeil pour oeil, dent pour dent.

  6. Thank you to the kindness of this man who saw the suffering that was imposed on this beautiful puppy. It always amazes me how cruel these monsters are and why they even have a dog. Evil, evil, reptiles. Thank you for rescue

  7. I pray she recovers soon and finds a loving home…. she now needs an exact opposite expect of life. And the person who did this to her needs exactly same treatment.

  8. The person that put this poor animal to such misery needs to hang in public. We must change our laws make it a federal felony to abuse neglect mutilate an animal this is the only way that there is Justice for these poor creatures. The lawmakers refused to listen to this is the public the ones who put them in office and it is up to us to make sure that those abused animals received old Testament judgment.

  9. Ah come on! This dog didn’t suffer overnight! This poor baby suffered months in pain and, when she was on her death bed the authorities finally intervene!! Ohio you should feel shame and disgust with your state that innocent companions suffer like this and, YOU ALLOW IT!! Ruby is in heaven but, that’s hardly comforting knowing the abuse won’t stop with Ruby… So now what?

  10. poor baby living in the cold with no human contact and no food or water, if people do not want animal then give it to someone who loves animals so the animal can have a decent life animals are innocent they just want a home and to be loved

“If we hope to create a non-violent world where respect and kindness replace fear and hatred, we must begin with how we treat each other at the beginning of life. For that is where our deepest patterns are set. From these roots grow fear and alienation – or love and trust”

I pray for the poor dog and for the lost soul that did it.
