Two dogs, dumped by their prior owner, are confused and frightened inside of their kennel run at the South Los Angeles Animal Services facility in California. The dogs, Molly (age 9) and Chocolate (age 7), were surrendered by their owner on February 17.

A video of the pair was taken at the animal control agency and the dogs’ terror is readily apparent. Molly, in particular, can be seen suffering from fear as she shakes uncontrollably on her bed. On March 6, an update about the surrendered dogs was posted to Facebook:

This small girl is Molly – 9 years old and 16lbs, she probably really needs our help to get out of the South Los Angeles Shelter….not one thread on her yet – you can see in her video that she is terrified in the shelter. We’re hoping to get more video and pictures this weekend (thank you Cat Ku) – but this is what we have for now… and this scared, sweet dog really needs our help! Please share for Adoption, Rescue, Foster and/or pledges.

A subsequent update to Facebook reads:

I just got off the phone with the shelter and they are still there. The shelter doesn’t know if they are good with other cats or dogs as the owner who dumped them didn’t say anything other than they didn’t have time for them anymore.

You can help Molly and Chocolate find a new family by sharing their adoption information.

I really hate seeing people dumping their pets like they are trash! Pets are a commitment just like your children! Don’t get a pet if you can’t commit to them. I know sometimes things beyond a person’s control happens, but doesn’t cost nothing to post for a home or rescue!

Please who ever steps forward to adopt must get both! They are bonded and to separate them at this point would lead to depression and subsequent death from broken hearts! Please get them out of there soon!

Even if both aren’t adopted together lets hope both will find good homes. I know from talking with my vet that if dogs who grew up together and adopted separately to good homes will eventually come out of their depression.

How I wish I was close enough to gather them in my arms and tell them it will be all right! Alas I am clear across the country and can only share and send prayers for these precious ones. Thank you for at least acknowledging their existence, hopefully someone will see and save them.

Horrible! That poor girl is terrified. She’s going to end up having heart failure she’s so scared! What a horrific way to be forced to endure. Her prior humans are vile evil people, they obviously have no feelings for her at all…. for either of them. She needs rescue ASAP! She needs to feel safe, loved, secure. She needs quietness, peace, tender arms to hold her. There has to be someone out there who can give her this, someone who can make her feel safe. Please…. help these two innocent babies who were thrown into the care of non caring humans. They both deserve so much more then this!!!

PLEASE some kindhearted person adopt these two dogs – being a little older they will make wonderful pets. They certainly deserve a safe loving home for the remainder of their lives. Dogs are LOYAL companions, HUMANS are NOT!

J’espère que les propriétaires seront jetés quand ils seront vieux. Quelle honte.
Vite trouver une vraie famille pour ces bébés, et s’ils pouvaient rester ensemble, se serait le paradis.

These two babies are no longer listed in the database. Praying they have been rescued or adopted. Does anyone have an update? I am unable to reach this facility by phone.
