In a disturbing incident caught on closed circuit television, a drunk security guard was attacked by a dozen feral dogs as he staggered along a remote path in Sovetsky, a section of central Russia’s Khanty-Masi Autonomous Okrug region. The man who has not been publicly identified had been known to regularly feed the dogs for the past few years.
According to the MetroNews, police have launched an investigation after the man’s mutilated body was discovered the following morning. In the graphic video, the pack of dogs can be seen circling around the man as if the animals are expecting to be fed. The man appears to be holding a bottle of beer and is staggering. When the man trips on one of the dogs who had been under his feet, the dogs jump on him, but after a brief struggle the man gets back on his feet.
Even when the man falls a second time, he struggles with the dogs, but is able to stand up again. The third time he falls, however becomes the lethal accident. Authorities state the man’s state of intoxication made it more difficult for him to thwart the actions of the hungry dogs. When one of the dogs attack, the others follow suit. Reportedly the man died within two minutes of the dog attack.
No information has been made available if any action has been taken against the dogs.
