A woman’s photo of a dog nativity scene has had overwhelming response after having been posted on Twitter and Facebook and subsequently picked up by thousands of social media fans. In fact, the adorable photo posted by Jo Kingston, who runs a dog walking and grooming service in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, says her twitter feed has “gone bonkers.”

“People love seeing the dogs – especially with towels on their heads,” Jo stated – the owner of Wags to Riches Pet Services.

According to the BBCNews, Kingston posted the photo in early December using seven dogs posing for the camera on a manger made out of hay. Six of the dogs wore towels on their heads. And then a tiny puppy is seen lying in a crib, meant to represent the baby Jesus. She said she took the photograph to create a nice feeling.

“I didn’t expect this at all,” she added.

The dogs’ serious expressions might have been the driving force behind much of the attention, but for many – including this writer, the world has fallen in love with “puppy Jesus.” Among some of the Facebook comments were:

‘OMG! Looks at the puppy in the manger.”

“Haha, this is awesome! Look how cute puppy Jesus is!”

So how did Jo get the dogs to pose? Actually she stated it was all quite simple because she had food and the right dogs to  be her subjects. Jo had seen this done on the Internet before and admits it wasn’t her original idea.

How cute was it also when the dogs playing Mary and Joseph decided their new found fame entitled them to take advantage of their walk?

“Straight into the smelliest muddiest and puddle on their walk today. .. Mary and Joseph fame is going to their head, they think they can get away with anything now !!!”

You may want to check back with your favorite pages on occasion because Facebook often changes your settings, no longer having your having your favorites among those to “see first.

      • If one dresses their furbabies in holiday sweaters (instead of their “normal” plain sweaters”) & they get special dinners (instead of their “normal” dinners), then they ARE celebrating Christmas with their family…….

Don’t be a “grinch”….. remember the reason for the season and spread the joy…….

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you…..
