Update: Rescued!

A six-year-old dog at the Inland Valley Humane Society in Pomona, California, is giving up hope after her sibling was adopted, and she was left behind. The dog, ID# I1269895, urgently needs to leave the crowded facility.

On Thursday, a social media advocate wrote:

SHE IS GIVING UP!. SHE NEEDS OUT NOW!!! LARGE BREED KENNELS HAVE REACH THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY

HER SIBLING WAS ALREADY RESCUED OR ADOPTED
SHE WAS LEFT BEHIND
SHE NEEDS OUT NOW!

A video shows a hopefully wagging tail on this homeless dog – it is apparent that she desperately wants to be loved.

  1. Heartbreaking. They have no idea why they’ve been dumped there and then to have their only friend taken away, it makes me cry.

    • What if someone pays for the adoption fee would the one’s that adopted the other dog take her too ? Just a thought..

      • This so breaks my heart! I live in Texas & am unable to care for a large dog. However, I will gladly pay the adoption fee if the person who adopted her sibling would please come back to get her. At the end of the day, each other was all these precious babies had for 6 years. Can u please contact whoever adopted her sibling to find out if they will take her if I pay the fees?

      • Barbara I am working to see if I can get her rescued. I live in Illinois and my former coworkers live in California, I would take her in a heart beat if I could. Do you know if I can get someone to donate the adoption fees if I can get them to agree to go get her, she would be going to a luxury rescue and then pampered but they do everything through donations also. Just wondering.. and thank you for such a big heart and also wanting to save this baby

  2. Poor baby. I have a male cane corso and I love him to pieces! I would take her if I can. Did the shelter contact Cane Corso Rescue? I know they accept cane corso mix and other mastiffs.

  3. This always breaks my heart. Why, if you can adopt one of them can’t you find it in your heart to take both. I hope this precious girl finds a loving home.

  4. Please help this 2 babyes !!!! They deserves this ???????????????? any little dogs shall bee left on a shelter of they owners ???????????? Its heartnreiking and very cruel !!!! Shame in you ????????????????????

  5. This has to be the Sick of the Sick. If this Person Adopted a Sibling They should have adopted the Female along with Her Sibling,

    • I absolutely agree I have a rescue dog and I. Also have the son daughter there is no way I could ever separate any of my dogs i would stave before I would let anything happen 2 my babies

  6. PLEASE – someone in Pomona CA please step up and adopt this beautiful dog – she will give unconditional love and you will never regret taking her. She is confused and scared – be an angel and give her a safe loving home.

  8. She needs a forever home now too,but if you cant provide that try fostering at least she wont be where she is now! Its too bad that who ever adopted her brother or sister could not adopt her! How did they come to be there in the first place? But please someone step up and rescue this beautiful girl!

    • The information is posted at the top of this post. The number to the shelter according to this post is 909-623-9777 🙂

  9. I live in Illinois and would be willing to adopt her. I’m just not sure how I could get her here. I’m a teacher and the school year is almost over. There are so many animals needing homes where I’m from and I’m planning on adopting here this summer, but this story is so sad that I’m willing to make a road trip if no one in California can take her.
