A screaming woman’s profane viral rant at  restaurant employees in a Delaware restaurant was caught on video and has since gone viral. The woman, who was dining at Kathy’s Crab House & Family Restaurant, was filmed yelling at a group of people arguing that having a service dog in the dining room is “nasty,” and that there should be a “separate section” for people with animals.

Army National Guard veteran Bill Austin and his service dog JP had been dining at the restaurant when the woman screamed about the dog in front of Austin and his family.

“I’m leaving because the food is nasty and there’s a dog,” the woman yelled.

Immediately an employee defended Austin and JP -who helps his owner struggle with PTSD and wakes the veteran up when his past battles reoccur in frightening nightmares:

“He’s alive because he fought for our country,” the employee answered back to the irate woman.

The woman however had no intentions of letting the argument subside or just leaving. Instead she snapped back:

“Congratulations. My husband’s dad did too! My husband’s dad fought for the f*****g country! So what? It’s still nasty to me! It should be a separate section for a f*****g animal.”

And with even more complaints, the woman continued to yell and finally left with another man. Authorities are investigating, but it is not clear at this time if any charges will be pursued.

The Americans With Disabilities Act allows service dogs to accompany their handlers inside restaurants and all public buildings. People from all over the world have responded to the YouTube video supporting Austin and offering to buy both the veteran and his dog a meal. Not long after the embittered words and tragic scene occurred, the restaurant posted a sign outside of the restaurant:

“Service Dogs Welcome”

On Wednesday afternoon, the restaurant responded to the disturbing incident from the unidentified woman on their Facebook page apologizing to the public and using the situation as a teaching experience:

“We would like to express at this time how sorry we are over the embarrassing turn of events that occurred earlier this week in our restaurant, here in Delaware City.

It is unfortunate that some of the public are not familiar with federal regulations regarding service animals, which, in fact, do permit service animals into establishments such as grocery stores, public buildings and restaurants, giving aid and comfort to their masters in their time of need.

That being said, we would like to take what may have been perceived as a negative incident and turn this into a positive opportunity, by educating and enlightening the public about the role of service animals and how they help and serve many returning veterans who have suffered serious wounds and injuries, as well as those veterans suffering from PTSD.

So, at this time, we would like to announce that we will be sponsoring a fundraising effort for veterans and service animals thru the Montana Wounded Warriors. We would like to enlist your help as a sponsor, volunteer, or as a donor and help us enlighten and educate the public as well as to help those veterans in need.

Details need to be finalized at this time, but as they come together, we will make additional announcements to keep you apprised of our progress.

Thank you”

  1. welcome to the new world order.
    you’ll be fine.
after the booing dies down you will know how to conduct your self in therapy dog world.or you can eat in your car.
    just a heads up.
blind Muslims in this country can’t have dog’s for religious reasons so blind Muslims prefer small trained therapy ponies. its a thing. they are allowed in restaurants on busses and in hospitals .
make room for these helper animals lady.
or just stay home and get take out.

  2. I saw this yesterday on TV and this woman was and is a vile piece of shit whose outrageous rants exposed her for the uneducated ghetto dweller she is – the only nasty thing in this restaurant was her. I applaud Mr. Austin for his composure during her vicious attack on his whole family. She is damn lucky someone didn’t punch her out. She sure deserved it. This man served his country while she probably sat home and collected welfare.

  3. That woman was WAY out of line! I don’t know who this “bitch” thinks she is but with her filthy mouth and disgusting attitude, her family must be VERY proud! She doesn’t like to dine with the “filthy” service dog in the restaurant then let her take her “filthy” mouth and go elsewhere! Totally disgusting, I hope someone points out to her what a fool she made of herself!

    • I would like to thank Kathy’s Crab House & Family Restaurant for sticking up for the veteran and his dog, they have shown what supporting our military and soldiers is all about!

  4. Not sure why she felt the need to make such a big scene. If you don’t like it leave. If I owned the restaurant you would have been asked to leave immediately. I would never tolerate such behavior. Screaming and acting like an ass only hurts you.

    • God forbid if she does own a dog the poor dog is probably chained up in the yard. She Is nothing but a lowlife piece of trash and I would’ve much rather eat next to the dog then eat by that vile human being.

  5. I love that the restaurant is going to do a fundraiser for veterans and service animals. That’s a great way to start to turn this around and educate people like this incredibly ignorant and rude woman.

  6. Obviously she’s crazy another one with Black lives matter. The dog is cleaner than her and definitely has a much nicer desposition????. I would much rather dine with the dog next to me than her.

  7. Cheers to the restaurant and people dining there. She is lucky someone didn’t smack that nasty mouth of hers. I bet seeing this incident splattered on TV causes her pain and embarrassment everywhere she goes. Animals that perform a service for our veterans and anyone who needs one to help them live, should be allowed where ever their person goes.

  8. This woman is an embarrassment to herself and her family (if any still want to admit they are related). Disgusting, vile mouth “thing”. The service dog has more class than her. I hope this video follows her for a long time and that she becomes an outcast to those who will admit to knowing her.

  9. Her first part of her statement is “the food is nasty…”. The second part of the statement is “… and, there’s a dog.” Actually two unrelated reasons. Sounds like she was just looking for a free meal or wanted to start a confrontation. Service and Therapy animals are kept clean and groomed so they can accompany their handlers just about everywhere. (Some medical facilities do not allow due to patient care/medical reasons.) Such a well trained hairy family member showed considerably more grace than the screeching woman.

  10. That Bitch needs to go find a hole in the wall and stay there!!! Anyone who can do this to a Veteran and their Service animal needs to be out on their ear!!!! How HORRIBLE!!!

  11. Just another BLM person doing what she has to do to get her 5 minutes of fame. Even if it means you have to act like a total, raving, lunatic…..they will do it just to get their crazy face and antics on social media.
Such a shame. If she sincerely felt the way she said….she could have simply walked out of the restaurant. But no….she had to turn into a crazed basket case.

  12. God has a wonderful way of waking up His ill-informed children!!! One day He will teach her in His own way.. let’s just shake it off for now. So glad the service dog was working as well he should.

  13. That nut case woman needs to stay home. She’s an embarrassment to this country. How dare her open her yapping mouth and insult a veteran and his service dog. I would rather eat with them then that lunatic any day!!! Ban her from the restaurant. She has a nasty, dirty mouth!!!

  14. The only nasty thing I see is her big mouth spewing filth. I hope she comes to realize how pathetic she is. Kudos to the restaurant owner that is working to educate the public. If he was the man that backed that idiot/moron out the door. High five, sir!!

  15. I’m with her. Dogs don’t belong in restaurants. This service dog crapola has gone too far. If he’s not blind or epileptic, he needs to leave the damn dog home. Being a veteran is admirable, but if he can’t go out to eat without a dog, he needs counseling and medication, not a dog. You can go online and pay a small fee to register your dog as a service dog. it’s BS.

    • You’re an idiot. Service men have ptsd 24/7 and dogs are known to help. If you think it’s nasty stay home. He fought for our country and if he needs help I’m all for him having a dog. Anything simple sound could cause an episode. Why don’t you go enlist, do his job and see how you feel. Dog hater!

      • Seriously? You agree with the way she reacted? You’re a putz! So what if anyone is allowed to register their dog as a service dog. It is allowed under the Americans Disabilities Acts. Have you ever been in combat? Obviously not then shut the fuck up!

    • Enid, I’m so sorry that you still don’t understand. A military person or an other person, perhaps yourself one day, at some point needs extra tools to help them live what we call healthy with their ‘silent unnoticeable diseases’. (Dogs being one of those tools). The tools could be medications or therapy as you mentioned. However, you might be young and or blessed too to not have the (tools) to help you yet. Someday, I promise you, you or someone YOU know, will need one of these ‘tools’ and it might just be a DOG. Please think about it, ok?
