Sad dog at animal control after human mom died
Spread the love

A young dog, not even two years of age, is having to deal with the death of his human mom, and the loss of his home. The dog, named “Dino,” arrived to the Carson Animal Services facility in Gardena, California, on April 8 after his owner died.

Now, Dino is locked away behind the bars of his kennel run – in mourning for the loss of his person, and confused about where all the things that were once familiar have gone. On May 1, the volunteer-run Facebook page, Saving Carson Shelter Dogs, wrote:

DINO is SHORT and SWEET! he does GREAT with kids and other dogs but he’s really sad after his Mom died and he lost everything. He is already neutered and CAN GO HOME TODAY! Please SHARE for his life, he’s SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him.

Dino needs the help of strangers right now – the shelter is full and he needs out. Please share Dino’s adoption information and help save his life.

  1. Another sweet boy who is confused and alone. Gentle when taking food. Responsive when called and only 2 yrs old. Please consider for rescue and placement. He has already been in a home and interacts with children and dogs well, you can see it in his eyes – he just needs a chance! Please rescue!!!!

  2. There is NO WAY in the world that I would let a deceased family members pet to be abandoned into a shelter! NO WAY!!

  3. OH God This is Horrific for this deserving dog!!! As we all know Carson is not a safe haven!!! I am heart sick and powerless because of living in middle America !!! Your PET RESCUE SITE has been very successful in finding homes for the impossible …Please you TWO dedicated writers get this out to the NETWORK ( as I am sure many of the posters here that are awesome in networking will) I saw that the little 17 year dachshund in California who family dumped him because he was too old…. Got a HOME>>>> I HOPE DINO is Blessed as this was a tragic event in HIS YOUNG LIFE!!!

    • My post of Dino earlier when I first read about him!!! I wrote the shelter begging to get him to central Ohio! I need that boy. I am disabled and cant ride or fly!!! PLEASE SHARE SO I CAN HAVE MY BOY!!!!P.S. my comment was poster to pet rescue! I hope someone will help get this guy to mePlease God bring him home!!!!!

      • Carson and the whole lot of California is very difficult to get a rescue out of State. Why they would rather Kill their animils is strange to me to say the least… I had a Montana German Shepard try and get a GS from there and they wouldn’t even talk to them … I wish you luck!!!

  4. A5048130 is his ID# . You can type it right in the Facebook search bar and the various picture /video threads will show.

  5. I would take Dino in a heart beat! Unfortunately im in New Jersey so that excludes me! I feel for this poor little kid, its very hard on dogs when they lose their owner and home! He needs out of that shelter as soon as possible!

    • I knl John thats sad they wont take him in and love him like their mother did! I want him so bad as he looks like my Mojoryzyn who was my comfort service dog when I got hurt. I was there when he was born and at 6 months he became my service comfort dog and was velcord by me thru my sutgeries and w/me for 13 yrds. I am disabled and cant travel and Ohio is such a long way to get him here to my. He would be my service dog as I can tell he would love and help get me thru the hard times

      • CONTACT THE SHELTER, MAYBE TRANSPORT CAN BE PROVIDED AS IVE SEEN TRANSPORT GROUPS THAT HELP, PLEASE TRY….

  6. He looks like my Mojoryzyn who I lost over the rainbow bridge! He was my comfort dog when I got injured and stayed by my side through all my surgeries,I am still devastated of his loss. I so wish I could get this baby to my home in Ohio as I am disabled and cant travel. I would make him my registered comfort dog as I can see it in his eyes he would be there for me as my Mojo was for 13 yrs.

  7. I know there is someone to foster and/or adopt this dog. Your rescue associations have to get involved and help this sad baby. It won’t take anytime to for them to put him down. If some rescue association can just get him out, I know he will be adopted.

  8. Can or does anyone know the current status of Dino? Is he still at the shelter? Rescued? Adopted?
Please let us know how he is doing.

  9. I would take him right now but i live in michigan.. He would be spoiled rotton and be going to a good home..i wish someone was coming to mackinaw and could bring him to me…he would love the woods and the lake and all the car rides and walks…which would lift his broken spirit….

  10. Where is his deceased mom’s family why have they not stepped forward to look after this dog…. people make me puke.
my entire family has things in place both for my two dogs my mothers dogs my brothers dogs… it is our duty and responsibility to make sure that they are properly cared for and looked after in the event of our untimely death every single person needs to be responsible and do the right thing.
If you have no family then you should in a timely manner try to rehome your pet.
Sick or not that’s the right thing to do.
When my Nana passed our entire family took in her animals.
