He’s scared and tense and this four-year-old Labrador retriever was found as a stray roaming the streets of Miami scavenging for food. His family has not come to the shelter looking for him, and each day Manoli grows more depressed. On Sunday, he was made available for adoption, but still no one stopped in front of his kennel to meet him.

According to the dog’s veterinarian notes from  Miami-Dade Animal Services, the following was noted:

“Pet is BAR. MM-Pink. Coat not taken care of. (shallow hair cover) Ehrichia positive, but stable not clinical ehrichia at this time. Unable to do full PE because of aggressive behavior. Pet will remain under observation and RX. If behavior improves, pet will receive full PE”

Click here for Manoli’s Pet Harbor listing. “I am an unaltered male, tan Labrador Retriever. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old. I have been at the shelter since Jun 07, 2017.” For more information about this animal, call Miami-Dade Animal Services at (305) 884-1101. Ask for information about animal ID number A1879240. 1. OMG. Another Dog without a ID Chip. I Hate People that don’t take care of there Animals. Karma will get them in the End. The only way I’d have to Give up my Senior Dog is if I Have to Be in the Hospital for a Long Time. I would always get a Family Member to Take Care of My Dog.

  2. The shelter thought the owner will come get the dog??? Isn’t it obvious this poor guy was neglected, abandoned and probably physically abused. Labs are the most non-aggressive breed. It takes a lot for a lab to become aggressive. I hope this poor guy gets a loving family.

    • I agree 100% with your assessment of a Lab’s behavior. I’ve had 3 Labs and my most recent adopted senior is now 11 years old and he’s the least aggressive I’ve ever seen. The people who had him said he wouldn’t fight back even if a Chihuahua attacked him.
