Last week, a dog in pitiful condition was rescued in the Houston, Texas, area. The dog, dubbed “Stetson,” was neglected for far too long and it was readily apparent that he had been ignored and left to suffer by most everyone who came across his path.

Stetson was taken under the wing of the Forgotten Pet Advocates who revealed just how much the dog had been suffering in misery. After a veterinary exam, it was determined that Stetson’s body was plagued with parasites. The rescue agency wrote:

Our sweet boy weighs 40.2 lbs. He has Hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, fleas, contagious mange and heartworms. His white count was 37000 (barely hanging onto life with this count). He also has chronic ear and eye infection (blurred vision in his left eye) and worn down teeth. In other words, he is a totally wreck.  This boy has survived abuse and neglect that rips your heart out. On the bright side, he’s eating, drinking, peeing and potty-ing just fine. He loves his meals, treats and soft bed, and the air-conditioning is great!

Anyone who would like to help the rescue group with Stetson’s ongoing veterinary expenses can make a donation at this link.

  1. I HAVE come to SERIOUSLY FEEL THERE ARE SOME INDIVIDUALS that NEED to be ELIMINATED from SOCIETY>>> The Bastard’s that did this NEED TO BE “DRAWN & QUARTED “WHILE STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE!!!

    • Yes, I agree wholeheartedly with pennysdachshund – people who neglect, abuse and torture any animal should not have the right to breathe – and the punishment should fit the crime.

  2. I donated to his care. Please do not put this dog down. He deserves a chance at happiness. He looks adorable. Please donate to his care.
